Dynamite is just good not great it sounds like Break your Heart with autotune.His sound just gets more pop and bland.On TGJ someone was saying he is one step away from turning into Jusitne Bieber.

Not sure why Billionaire is doing so well it is a little bland but Bruno Mars has one of the best voices in pop.Lissie and Eliza climbing again which is good.

This must be the longest time it's taken for a song to go from release to #1 on iTunes (excluding songs like Poker Face and, indeed, Airplanes itself which weren't released until after their parent album so they charted as album tracks for a while)

It seems that if you want front-loaded sales, but a better chart position release the song as a single a while before the album. If you want a slow burner with a lot of sales but a lower chart position, release it as the album version only, and then as a single (Airplanes, Love The Way You Lie).

M.I.A. - Maya fallen to Top 40 :cry: I guess she doesn't do promotion because she only writes songs to show what happens in Sri lanka and not to be a famous popstar which is good in a way.

 

I'm going away today where it will be hard to get internet connection so I guess the only way to find out No.1 next week will be doing it the traditional way: Listening to Radio 1 on Sunday :o which might make it more exciting cause I will have no idea who will be No.1. Haven't done that since 2009!

I don't feel sorry for Travie McCoy's record company, as that's what happens when you hold back a track like that unnecessarily, but I do feel sorry for Taio Cruz - he hasn't even started to build up any airplay.

It could be a good thing though. It will hurt a few songs, but perhaps it'll get people to release songs earlier in the future, if it does become a major problem.

B.o.B only had a 227(?) copies lead on Tuesday and I think YBC has closed the gap a lot since then (btw I know they weren't the #2 on Tuesday but you get my drift).
