Hopefully B.O.B keeps his lead and gets no.1

Eminem hopefully should get atleast no.3 next week

Surprised We No Speak Americano has gotten this high tbh

I'm not surprised by We No Speak Americano's success really. It's basically all that anybody's talked about on facebook the past 3 months for starters.

Yolando about to overtake B.o.B

and Katy soon to overtake Eminem.

Yolanda Be Cool could end up no. 1 next week after all. :o At least 'Airplanes' and 'We No Speak Americano' are decent tracks - both would make deserved no. 1 singles imo. Then if 'Billionaire' was to top the UK chart in a fortnight that'd be three great no. 1 singles in a row. Makes a refreshing change. :P

I completely agree with you! It'd be amazing if it went Airplanes -> We No Speak Americano -> Billionaire! I just wish Eminem and Rihanna could get number-one aswell. :(

The pop bars in that update have confused me - has Enrique just reclaimed #8 or is he actually #9?

I'm surprised by his longevity. Radio 1 have snubbed him and he's rather low on the airplay charts.

Also impressed by All Night Long's longevity. ^_^

Its really taking its time isnt it

I agree that Airplanes followed by We No Speak Americano and then Billionaire would be a great run of number 1s, I think Billionaire could hang on for a few weeks until Dynamite comes- which now that its been deleted, will surely go to number 1

I think Eminem and Rihanna will be this years Empire State of Mind, so it could peak at number 2 yet have a long chart run

Three great singles in a row is not so great, Year 2000 springs to mind, with a lot of chopping and changing, the last 4 weeker was Lily Allen with The Fear, are we ever going to have any acts staying far longer than 3 weeks at #1

Probably not.

You look at 'California Gurls' and it had monster first-week sales yet it only managed two weeks at #1.

The biggest first-week sellers will come in the Fall but that is when there's a lot of competition and first-week sales will easily beat second-week ones.

January is normally the best time for a long-running #1.

I Gotta Feeling at #49? what

It goes top 50 every weekend. It actually hasn't left the top 75 on iTunes for a whole year! :o No wonder it's sold 1,000,000. :)

It was also mentioned (and maybe played?) on Big Brother...

BTW, Eliza is #5 combined.

Wow :o I hope it's a song that can stick around, it's another great summer sound, like Yolanda.

IGF was also performed on some random show hosted by John Barrowman

(My mum was watching it :drama:)

YBC need to get a move on and get #1, they're showing signs of doing a Rude Boy :(

If 'Airplanes' was no. 1 tomorrow and next week then I can't really complain. Like Mikey pointed out replying to me, the days of genuine #1 stayers (ie; get to no. 1 and stay there for a couple of weeks) seem to be long gone. :( Roll Deep were just fortunate that even with their third week at no. 1 sales slump there was nothing to compete. Even David Guetta's sales at no. 1 with 'GOY' were quite poor for 2010 standards. Iirc, the whole of last weeks top 5 sold more than 50k?

Sales speak volumes rather than chart position. #1 selling 200k or #2 selling 750k. Which is better?

Both close for Katy with Eminem

and same for YBC with B.o.B
