Eventual addition for Kylie. The song did nothing to this point though making only two appearances in the top-200: firstly, as the album cherry-pick; second after the promo on Alan Carr. This is early days and we need to look at the video but I'm totally undecied how well it's going to do. And if the second single underperforms, the further singles won't totally flop just because of the fanbase-buying on the release week.
How come Tensnake has been added now? It was released at the beginning of July. I'm not complaining as it's a good tune, but it seems a bit strange to add it 2 months after release.

How many weeks have Eminem ft. Rihanna been on the A-list? Is that 6? 7? What's the record?
Looks like Stromae will stay on the B-list and be removed next week or the week after seeing as it's making no further impact than low top 30 on iTunes and is 'released' on Monday. Such a shame, I wonder why it's not crossed over much here when it's been #1 everywhere else.

Because it's f***ing awful

I'm not sure what the record is but Mumford & Sons - The Cave was A-List for some 10 weeks (and the followup to it, which missed the top 100, was A-List for about 5 or 6 weeks IIRC as well)

All this despite the fact their biggest hit Little Lion Man didn't even make the C-List. It winded up stuck on the INMWT list.

I'm fairly confident of a stable #7 hit or thereabouts with 'Get Outta My Way'. The way it usually works for Kylie is the first two singles are decent sized hits, and then the rest of the singles from the album more fanbase buys that drop quickly, of course Fever era excepted in this rule.

For your interest, the guy sent the mail to Radio 1 about their ways to choose the songs in their playlists ans snubbing Sophie Ellis-Bextor. And they replied him back. I think, this read will be quite interesting for some of you:

Radio 1 is tasked to reach young audiences aged 15 to 30, but we focus particularly hard on appealing to 15 to 24 year olds. There's an enormous amount of music being produced and we cannot possibly play everything, so we carefully select a range of the most exciting and relevant new music from many different genres including rock, pop, dance, hip hop, R&B, indie/alternative, dubstep etc. I chair our weekly playlist meeting, but we have a democratic process with 16 people involved in making the decisions. The music industry is highly competitive and it would be true to say that in recent times we have felt other songs and other artists were potentially more relevant to the Radio 1's audience than Sophie's releases, even though her music is very good. Tthat is our collective opinion. I hope this goes some way to explaining how we choose the music we play and that you'll continue to enjoy listening to us.

Lol at them adding Olly now- they really shouldnt have bothered, I guess its just so when hes number 1 on sunday, they can say they did help him a bit!

Labrinth song will be very big here when its released- Surprised Tinie's still B-list

cant say Im surprised they are ignoring Alex again

What a load of rubbish, R1 know nothing about what is relevant and they continue to pick stinkers to playlist and the songs do nothing. They seem to forget that they are a public service broadcaster. I have no interest in what they think is relevant and they should stick to what people enjoy and are listening to.If 15-24 year olds are their priority whether they like it and or accept it act s like Fugative. Alexandra Burke, Bashy, Gabrielle Climi and Enrique Iglesias are more popular in this age group than Biffy Clyro, Jonsi, Vampire Weekend, Paloma Faith, Funeral Party. Adding Olly this week is just pathetic and shows they are out of touch with what is popular.

Vampire Weekend and Biffy Clyro are incredibly popular amongst radio 16-24 year olds. Just because they don't buy their singles in any great numbers doesn't mean their albums aren't bought and they don't play a lot of sell out shows, with a large percentage of people in Radio 1's target group.

Most people I know who are fans of acts like Enrique and Alex Burke don't listen to Radio 1 anyway, they listen to local commercial radio, which would justify Radio 1's choice because commercial radio play them to levels which make Radio 1 look like they never play Vampire Weekend.

Agreed with RFC. Just because Biffy Clyro and The XX dont have a huge number of top 10 hits to their name does not mean they dont deserve their place on the playlist, their albums sell well and I can pretty guarantee you that the majority of the Radio 1 audience prefer them to the latest JLS or Pixie Lott single.

Radio 1 still playlist Pop to quite a healthy amount, and the playlist is quite varied in my opinion and appeals to quite a large margin of people.

Alexandra Burke's All Night Long (which was not R1 playlisted) actually performed better than Broken Heels (which was playlisted) so she hardly needs the support anyway.

I really do wish we could get over the odd little fixation of complaining about every single miniture detail about the playlist.

That pretty much confirms that they select based on the artists themselves and their profile, rather than songs. Not that I didn't already know that.

I have nothing against them playlisting bands like Biffy Clyro, The xx and Vampire Weekend as these are genuinely popular bands who sell albums and tours etc, I just don't think they're entirely fair all round...

Whilst I agree with this (i'm a huge Biffy Clyro fan), I must say especially with their email it contradicts the point. Olly's song has been around now on tv/radio like what 4 weeks? They've obviously laughed it off and been like oh yeah, our audience won't wanna be hearing this and brushed it aside and not thought of it again, now, a month later when it looks a dead cert to be number 1 they $h!t themselves of the thought of not keeping up to date with the current charts. Will the same happen next week after the midweek charts? Let's say Alexandra is number 1 by a mile next Weds will they suddenly change their mind and jump on the bandwagon and add her next week?

Is it their way of showing, oh maybe were wrong and don't always get it right or is it them jumping on the bandwagon at the risk of not being "contemporary" or not being a true representation of the current chart climate?

Biffy always seem to be forever playlisted on the A-List too... Also, what about 'Empire State Of Mind' (Jay-Z version), that was added to the A-List straight away pretty much and spent an age on the A-list...
What's 1-upfront?

INMWT list

Dré STILL hasn't changed the name of it -_-
