September 12, 201015 yr I'm gonna say that's not the criteria, as Paul Weller was nominated this year :lol: Criterion :P It just has to be an album by a British or Irish act released in the qualifying period. Chart positions don't come in to it.

The only criteria are that it's released within the specified timeframe of one year, is by a British or Irish artist, and the album is pur forward for nomination by the record label.
