Posted October 4, 201015 yr Cee-Lo's big FU to Robbie 10:53 | Tuesday October 5, 2010 By Ben Cardew Source: MW Singles Cee-Lo Green has taken an early lead in the first of Q4’s big chart battles, with his single Forget You (Warner Bros) outselling Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow’s Shame (Virgin). Forget You, which proved an internet hit earlier this year in its original F*** You form, sold close to 40,000 copies yesterday on its first day of release to Shame’s 27,000, according to Official Chart Company sales flashes. In addition, Tinie’s Swedish House Mafia collaboration Miami 2 Ibiza, which is scheduled for a full single release later this month, looks likely to chart in the top 10 this Sunday as consumers cherry pick it from the album, while his third Parlophone single Written In The Stars, which topped the charts last Sunday, should remain in the top five. New singles from Kings Of Leon (Radioactive on RCA) and Magnetic Man featuring Katy B (Perfect Stranger on Columbia) should also challenge for the top ten this Sunday. Albums Meanwhile, Tinie Tempah is set to secure another raft of chart hits this Sunday: his debut Parlophone album Disc-Overy looks set to top the chart after selling more than 30,000 copies on its first day of release. Imelda May’s new Decca album Mayhem is off to a strong start, selling almost 4,000 copies on its first day of release, slightly ahead of A-ha’s new best of 25 (Rhino). ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 40 Only Singles 1 Cee-Lo Green [40k] 2 Robbie Williams & Gary Barlow [27k] 3 Tinie Tempah ft. October 5, 201015 yr Author And on a different note I've decided to step down as Admin, my heart is not in it anymore, but will become a Chart Leader, as my heart is in the charts forum I've been feeling like this for a long while, it be less work for me and I don't have to deal with all the $h!t that comes with the forum. Just because I'm a Chart Leader, I'm not going to make any necessary changes, I'm very happy with the current set up of our chart section.
October 5, 201015 yr Cee-Lo and Tinie Tempah will head both charts at the end of the week methinks - and quite right too! I think SHM vs. Tinie Tempah could actually push for #3 by the end of the week - it's going to have a MASSIVE weekend effect.
October 5, 201015 yr I think Robbie & Gary have a shot at 1 or 2 :) Albums i'd be shocked if Tinie Tempah wasn't No.1.
