UK iTunes Popularity Bars

 

Just checking out the updates on iTunes and looks like Cee Lo Green still has a nice lead when #6 and #9 are combined. Duck Sauce are marginally ahead of Joe when combined but still behind Bruno Mars (whether the album chart ep makes any difference, not sure).

 

So Joe McElderry might not even make the top 3 - is he really a strong physical seller? Having talked to people about The X Factor at work today, it's been fairly 40/60 with the majority not liking 'Ambitions'. :lol:

 

Would love to see 'f*** You!' stay no. 1 for a second week as the track is too good to just be a one week wonder, imo. :D

I'm really surprised by Joe's lack of sales, surely he's going to miss #1 being behind Duck Sauce again already and presumably being some way behind Cee-Lo when f***/Forget are combined. It's a "good" job he had the X-Factor slot or he'd have been struggling to go top 10. :o

My problem all along with Joe was that he had a really "nice" voice. Very innocent, angelic and Disney-esque. I thought he sounded bloody awful on 'You Are Not Alone' and 'The Climb'. He's definitely a better singer than Leon Jackson (one could argue Wagner is too!!! :lol: ) but he's suffered two major disadvantages.

 

1. 'The Climb'; ridiculous choice of winners single (always a curse) resulting in...

 

2. ...Joe not making the Xmas no. 1 last year despite climbing to no. 1 the week after. Surely the signs were there already (even Leon managed 3 weeks at no. 1 with his ghastly cover of a ghastly song in the first place).

 

Joe should consider what I thought 12 months ago; he's an excellent singer but he's definitely not a popstar. He belongs in the West End starring in musicals.

 

In fact, had Joe come back with some big ballad he'd probably be no. 1 now. Typical fickle minded UK public that they are!!! :lol:

All you people complaining that Joe isn't doing so well should be more grateful that he's in The Top.3 at least unlike The Ting Tings : :snif: :snif: :( I've been waiting 2 years for that song to be succesful and all it gets is Top 40 you've only waited since Xmas for it to do well! Wonder if he woulda got that Xmas No.1 even if RATM campaign wasn't on as anyone that hated RATM bought The Climb. Not sure really but this will be so painful to watch if he doesn't get the No.1 single or album and possibly getting backstabbed by Simon. He could be skating on thin ice right now :( Kinda hope for his sake and loads of other hardocre fans (I have seen those tweeny twiterrers!) that he does get No.1, its kinda catchy too but a lil bit too cheesy. Did he mime on the show I wasn't concentrating apparently he did :l

I think Pixie Lott will JUST get 10th this week.. Exluding Cee Loo's 2nd version she's 13th going on 12th with both versions combined and she will have physicals.
