October 16, 201014 yr OFF TOPIC: But, doesn't that The Only Way Is Essex thing just annoy you. Definitely not! It's the best thing on TV atm by far! Amy
October 16, 201014 yr Stop with the Konnie hating :( I dont watch Xtra-Factor since I can barely handle the main show without wanting to kill myself but I adore her. And Holly was shockingly overrated anyway.
October 16, 201014 yr Jedward on xtra factor nearly gave me a migraine..... :( I like Konnie too :) Edited October 16, 201014 yr by Sabrewulf
October 16, 201014 yr Storm - 5 - Ouch, looks like someone’s trying to get rid of Storm putting him on first; he needs to get a later slot IMO for his repertoire. Trayc - 6 - I’m utterly bored of this kind of singer, we’ve already got Leona and Alexandra. Purple Rain was an uninspiring pedestrian song choice. Paige - 6 - Paige’s performance kind of got lost in the malaise of fourteen acts. One Direction - 4 - Awful song choice, vocally shaky, but they’re SO cute. Cher - 5 - Bit of a risk picking such an ‘old skool’ number, she needs a few more feathers to her bow, if she’s going to last the distance. John - 6 - Packed with emotion, although I preferred Nicolo’s version tbh. He will be safe with the Christian vote. Diva Fever - 6 - Stupendous, the only criticism I can level at this is that I would kind of like to hear them sing. Rebecca - 6 - There’s a marvellous tone to her voice, shame she has to speak afterwards though as it kind of shatters the illusion. Aiden - 4 - Oh dear he/Danni/’the producers’ got it all wrong. From the song choice, through to the poor post performance interview, but most crucially his eyes were barely open and the grimacing was most off-putting; he could be in serious trouble… :( Wagner - 7 - Epically mirthful. :arrr: Katie - 4 - What?! A few negative comments and she ditch’s the zaniness, poor show. Strip it down and what’s left is run of the mill mediocrity. -_- Belle Amie - 2 - These daft bints need to get sent packing post haste, there’s zero cohesion to form anything resembling a band of sorts. However their biggest sin was that they completely raped a Kinks classic. :manson: Mary - 7 - Gigantic! :kink: Matt - 8 - Major props for the song choice. It’s good to see the back of that cap too.
October 16, 201014 yr Storm | 3 : Completely butchered that song. The stage production was a mess aswell. Trayc | 5 : I found it to be pretty lukewarm. It was an uninteresting song to pick (as much as I do love it!), but was just too predictable. I wasn't surprised either when she started screaming it towards the end. She may have one of the best vocals, but she needs to use it differently. Paige | 4: It just, kind of happened, didn't it? Nothing too bad about it, nothing great either. One Direction | 2: Something wasn't right about it (especially the chorus, there was no way that they sung that!). The guy who sang the verses was good though, I'll give them that. Cher | 3: It's not really a risk, is it? Give her by something by Pavarotti to sing, then it would be a risk! The thing is, she can't really sing, and it was evident tonight. She's not even that great at rapping either! John | 1: Who? :( Diva Fever | 3: Fantastic song choice! Again, (similar with 'One Direction'), they weren't really singing it, where they? It had a really heavy backing vocal to it. tut tut. Rebecca | 6: She would have sounded amazinggg if she sang the Janis Joplin version. It's just a fantastic song which becomes so boring when sung on the X-Factor unless an interesting spin has been put on it. Aiden | 7: I still thought he nailed it, even though he was hitting a couple of bum notes. Definitely one of the best contestants this year! Wagner | 0: I can't even remember what he sang. He's terrible. lolol @ Dannii Minouge though. Katie | 8: I like her tone! She's not the most powerful singer, but she's got a distinct sound when she sings. I thought it was a great performance! Belle Amie | 1: What on earth did they do to that song?! Srsly. The production was awful. Poor Ray Davies. :( Mary | 10: Flawless! Matt | 7: I hate the song choice, but he sang it excellently. You can't fault his vocal. Preferred last weeks performance however.
October 16, 201014 yr That guy Matt who I liked already has a band. And an album for download it seems :w00t: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seven-Summers/dp/B...07&sr=301-1
October 17, 201014 yr Watching on ITV Player now. Gonna comment like I would if I was watching it live with you lot :P (I've avoided all comments so far so I base it all on my opinion and won't get influenced etc... 01: Storm Lee 'Born To Run' Boring. Too karaoke-fied for my liking. He has a very decent voice, but something just isn't clicking, at all. He seems to be, like Simon said last week "a failed rock star". 4.5 out of 10

You are just contradicting yourself why is Mary who also did a big ballad type song both weeks considered good and deserving of praise while Treyc is considered pedestrian.Treyc cannot be like Leona and Alex as both of them are nothing alike vocally or performance wise.Maybe it has escaped your attention that the Leona and Alex types are the only winners who manage to build on their win and have success long after their win.Treyc is an individual who will show her versatility in time and with better song choices from Cheryl.
October 17, 201014 yr 02: Trey-C 'Purple Rain' Wow. This was excellent. She topped last weeks performance easily. Still not as good as Ruth's performance of this song, but $h!ts all over Daniel's performance of it last year. She's the dark horse this year, she reminds me of Alexandra Burke in the popularity stakes. She was never the favourite, until the final couple of weeks or so. 8.5 out of 10 ----------- 03: Paije Richardson 'If I Ain't Got You' Anyone else find it odd how the instrumental to 'Pack Up', always plays during his introduction? What's that about? ERGH! I DO NOT LIKE THIS ONE BIT! He's awful. Do not get the fuss at all. Destroying one of Alicia's finest moments in her career, not a good move! :drama: 2.0 out of 10 ----------- 04: 1Direction 'My Life Would Suck Without You' NO WAY! I kinda enjoyed it, but that's because of the song and not because of them or their performance of it! It was awful vocally and their performance of it was all over it. They were saved by the song. WTF at Louis... "Kelly Clarkson a hero?" HELLO! SHE WON A REALITY SHOW LIKE THIS. So surely they all want to be as successful as her and idolise her etc... yeah she's not a "hero" in the Michael Jackson/David Bowie/Prince/Kate Bush etc... way, but she is for most reality tv auditionees, surely? - OK. Maybe not for a boy band like them, I would have thought maybe a Take That song? 3.5 out of 10
October 17, 201014 yr 05: Cher Lloyd 'Hard Knock Life' Another rap song? Can;t imagine that'll go down well with people here on BJ, but they'll get over it! :P I want her to marry me! I loved it! Loved what she did with the song, she IS a popstar imo. It's fantastic! Worked brilliantly! I'm surprised Simon likes her, she looks like she won't do whatever he wants her to do... 9.5 out of 10
October 17, 201014 yr 06: John Adeleye '???' Poor John. Poor Louis. Surely it's like flogging a dead horse with him? He's got a nice enough voice, but not strong enough to be in the final 16/he hasn't go the star power... 5.5 out of 10 ----------- 07: Diva Fever 'Barbra Streisand' Well. That was... different  HATE 'Barbara Streisand' so much though. Awful song. One of the worst songs i've heard this year, this performance was odd. 2.5 out of 10 ----------- 08: Rebecca Fergusson 'Feeling Good' MUCH better song choice than last week, although something still isn't clicking as much as it should be with me  I really am loving her voice, but the song choices seem to be letting her down somewhat... I don't know. It's hard to say. 7.5 out of 10 ----------- 09: Aiden Grimshaw 'Jealous Guy' The pressure got to him on this song. It was clearly just out of his reach. :( Disappointed! But bar the bum notes, I really liked it. It's just he had one too many bum notes for me - It's so hard to give him a low score as I actually really love him  But tonight, he did wrong :( I like how he knew he did wrong too. Very honest guy, too good for this show maybe? 7.0 out of 10
October 17, 201014 yr 10: Wagner 'Just Help Yourself' AWFUL. Not even fun either  BORING! 0.0 out of 10 ----------- 11: Katie Waissel 'I'd Rather Go Blind' Fantastic. I KNEW she had a good voice! THIS was more like it  Gorgeous voice. I'm sure it'll shut the haters up for a week or two! 9.0 out of 10 ----------- 12: Belle Amie 'You Really Got Me' 10 times better than last week! Really liked it this week. Showing development. They need a bit more time together, however, this week, they've truly shown they have potential! I KNEW 'Long Hot Summer' by Girls Aloud reminded me of another song! 8.0 out of 10 ----------- 13: Mary Byrne 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me' Yeah we know she has a big voice, we know it's good but we also know she is not X factor worthy. Britains Got Talent would have done her better! It was alright. Not as good as last weeks though... 7.5 out of 10 ----------- 14: Matt Cardle 'Just The Way You Are' Really hoping he can pull this off. One of my favourite songs this year, by one of my favourite new artists... a lot of pressure. Excellent. Starting to get into the hype of him now. I always thought he was good, just not as good as people made him out to be. But that was so much better than last week! Yes, very Bono, but a hell of a lot more likeable. 8.5 out of 10
October 17, 201014 yr 01. Cher 9.5 out of 10 02. Katie Waissel 9.0 out of 10 03. Matt Cardle 8.5 out of 10 04. Trey-C 8.5 out of 10 05. Belle Amie 8.0 out of 10 06. Mary Byrne 7.5 out of 10 07. Rebecca Fergusson 7.5 out of 10 08. Aiden Grimshaw 7.0 out of 10 ----------- 09. John Adeleye 5.5 out of 10 10. Storm Lee 4.5 out of 10 11. 1Direction 3.5 out of 10 12. Diva Fever 2.5 out of 10 13. Paije Richardson 2.0 out of 10 14. Wagner 0.0 out of 10 The top 8 are my firm favourites. They all have potential to produce something that I am likely to buy. (Bar Mary - but I can't knock her on her performance if she delivers well) Aiden, although I'm disappointed with his effort tonight, when he was good he was excellent tonight, but when he was bad, it was crap. I know Cher has her haters, but I simply can't not adore her. I love her more than I did Diana! She's wow. Sorry if i'm over reacting/over hyping her etc... but gahhh. I'm also mega pleased that Katie seems to have shut the haters up
October 17, 201014 yr I'm thinking Storm and Paije will be the 2 acts going out tonight, poor Dannii losing another act, the public would want to keep Wagner for entertainment value. I'll be happy with Wagner & Storm going though, but I can't see Paige there next week.
October 17, 201014 yr Matt He's not always note-perfect, but there is something when he sings - there's a lot of passion in there, and a goosebump moment. Mary Again, technically PERFECT. I put her behind Matt though because I'm still more likely to want to buy his performance than I am Mary's, whose style in music isn't my kind of thing. TreyC Poor TreyC. That was actually REALLY good, but she was always going to suffer for comparisons to the LORENZO, which is one of THE classic moments in X Factor history. ======== Katie The decision to strip away all the silliness totally worked. A lot more passion there, and it suited her tone in voice right down to the ground. Only issue is that if they're going to take her down the classic retro route, she'll have problems because she will be in direct competition with Rebecca there. Rebecca Vocally, I still love her voice, and I could see myself enjoying an album of hers. It's just WATCHING her that lets it down, because she still looks like she's hating every moment. It's no good trying persuade everyone you're "feelin' gooooooood" when you're standing there like a bit of old cardboard. Belle Amie MUCH better than last week. It was more Girls Aloud than Saturdays which is very much a good thing. They're a bit shaky individually, but their harmonies were spot on. =========== Wagner I still find him more appealing to watch than some of the other technically better contestants. He's a likeable Jedward, and he seems like he would have an INCREDIBLE backstory - wtf with the lion wrestling?! I will say last week was far more entertaining though - if they're going to keep him in, they need to go all-out wacky. BRING BACK THE BONGOS. John Thoroughly decent, and better than last week's SNOOZEFEST. But I just can't get excited about John. Storm Quite underwhelming. He's got a voice on him, but I think he might actually NEED the theatrics. There was no climax in his performance, it was quite one-note throughout. Cher I don't think I'm EVER going to like Cher. I just find there's something just unpleasant about her; from the caked-on make-up, to the chav snarl, from the see-through attempt to style herself as Mini Cherly, to the try-hard bitch attitude. I think her singing is quite p***-poor, and the rapping better but not outstanding. She's not offering anything that MC Alesha Dixon wasn't eight years ago! =========== One Direction I think the song actually suited them, just a shame Zain tried to MASSACRE it. Even over all the backing singers and loud production, you could STILL hear him going all over the place, completely out of tune! Aiden OH :( I was looking forward to this one, but Aiden was really completely over-complicating things. There was no need for all that shaking and jerking - a little is fine and adds to the intensity of the performance. But going overboard just detracts from everything - you're no longer singing a song but having a total onstage mental breakdown. But bless him, he looked GUTTED. I've gone from hating him in the auditions to wanting him to stay and get a second shot. Paije You can tell they haven't quite got over the breathing issues, for poor old Paije was out of breath and all over the place! There's potential there, but he needs more work than most of the others. Diva Fever Oh LOL. At least Wagner made an attempt at singing the song! Random annoyance; WHY do we need fourteen duplicate "I've been singing since like forever" backstories? They DON'T add anything, they DON'T help us distinguish between and learn more about the conetstants, because they were ALL saying the exact same thing! The only thing of interest was Wagner's random lion photo, which I WOULD like to know more about!
October 17, 201014 yr Cher is nothing special and her white girl out the hood act is both grating and wrong.Even Lady Sovereign, Alesha Dixon and Estelle have far superior singing, rapping and vocal skills than her.No fan of Lady Sovereign but this is rapping. I think Storm is going home and John and Katie will be in the bottom three with him.
October 17, 201014 yr I think Katie will escape - there's always a "bounce back" effect - someone who is bottom 2 one week is rarely bottom 2 the next. And add that into the fact that Katie actually gave a decent performance last night, and Gamugate has died down, and I think she'll be OK. Bottom 3 prediction; Storm, Wagner, Paije

And add that into the fact that Katie actually gave a decent performance last night, and Gamugate has died down, and I think she'll be OK. October 17, 201014 yr 08.50|Katie I'm really surprised that I liked it so much. I've never been a massive hater but this was much better than last week and I hope it was good enough to save her, the public still seem to have it in for her though so who knows... 08.00|Matt Another decent performance, it was a bit shaky in places though which leaves him a bit behind Katie. HATE the song with a passion too so that didn't help. 07.50|Rebecca Her voice is probably my favourite out of the lot and she is the only one that I can seriously see myself liking and possibly buying a single if they released one. I wasn't wild on the song choice, her voice sounded great in the verses but didn't really suit the loudness of the chorus. 07.50|Mary I didn't think was as good as last week. Assured performance again but it was basically more of the same, she's also not the type of act I would ever buy an album by so that doesn't help. 07.50|John I can't believe I'm putting this but I actually quite liked him. His vocal was one of (if not the) best of the evening, completely in tune throughout and had a really relaxed and natural feel to it. The song choice was really good also. 05.50|Cher Did they really try to pass that off as being Cher's own creativity on display, going out there and taking two completely different genres and mashing them together - or, as it's called in my house, singing a Jay-Z song and not doing anything particularly special with it at ALL. 05.50|Trey-C The whole nation cries out that it was ok but it was certainly no Ruth. 05.00|Belle Amie Surprisingly okay I thought. The verses were a bit weak, I think only the short haired one has a decent voice in solo, but the chorus held it together well enough and the arrangement was good too. 05.00|One Direction Vocally they were quite good, aside from the diva one who seems incapable of singing anything without pressing the warble button. There is also one of them who REALLY gets on my nerves, he was at the left for most of the performance and ALWAYS has a cheesy grin on his face and begins to dance in an odd manner that doesn't fit in with any of the others. DITCH HIM I SAY. 04.00|Aiden It just didn't really work and actually made me appreciate last week's performance less. I thought he did Mad World in a slightly creepy manner because he was interpreting the oddness within the lyrics of the song, now it turns out that it may just be his natural style. Anyway, it didn't really work at all and was just awkward to watch. 04.00|Paige I really like the Alicia track but it was awful version until the final chorus. Loved the section beforehand where everyone was trying to think of a polite way of telling him he needed to lose some weight though! 02.50|Diva Fever It was crap. Kinda likeable in a way but still utterly crap. There were practically no vocals available to judge and the whole performance felt flat and tinny. 01.00|Wagner One point for the dancers. 00.50|Storm He's awful. A combination of being first up and completely irrelevant to anything in music today should hopefully see him get the least votes tomorrow and be straight out.
October 17, 201014 yr There are so many bad karaoke acts this year I think that it may be worse than last year. I wonder if we are going to see what they did in 2008 when they gave many acts proper dance routines.Diva fever and Wagner are just tiresome and I imagine the wild cards are still stuck in a hotel because it was assumed they would be first gone.
