Rebecca may be my favourite contestant ever. Her voice is just so amazing. I love everything about her singing, and I'd buy her album anyday.

LOVE HER.

I think this may be the first time I have ever been in complete agreement with Bertie. FML.

I definatly Katie isn't going anywhere this week. As has been said, theres the bounce-back effect and the fact that unfortunetly she was actually *shudders* quite not $h!t aswell.

John and Storm are most definatly most at risk. Probably Paije aswell. Possibly and tragically Treyc, and it wouldnt come a terrible shock if Belle Amie were to land in the bottom three either.

05.50|Cher

Did they really try to pass that off as being Cher's own creativity on display, going out there and taking two completely different genres and mashing them together - or, as it's called in my house, singing a Jay-Z song and not doing anything particularly special with it at ALL.

Oh I'd forgotten to comment on that part - you're TOTALLY right. It's yet another reason why I don't like Cher - they are building her up to be the most innovative new artist to hit the music industry since Elvis. But all she did last night was perform a Jay-Z track pretty much LIKE FOR LIKE.

Evening. Tonight was the first X-Factor I've watched this series. Here are my votes

1. the guy at the very end.

2. the Irish woman who sang Dusty

I wasn't too keen on any of the others.

Thank you and goodnight. -_-

LOL! You summed it up well, Jups ^_^

Marrb. I disagree completely. This year's X Factor is brilliant imo. So much variety and there isn't just the one character that people like and hate. I'm definitely enjoying this series so much and just proves that X Factor is continuing on from it's usual, great series to a meh series to a great series (best series yet - Diana, Alex, Ruth etc...) to a very mediocre series last year and this year's is set to be my favourite yet I think...
One Direction were surprisingly good! :o Much better than 'Viva La Vida', but I agree with Simon* that Kelly's not really a hero. :kink:

*Louis.

Mega-lolz at anyone's musical hero being Kelly Clarkson.

Y'all be banned from KC forum :smoke:

Really? There's no doubt this year is better than last but I honestly think there are far too many karaoke acts and very few who could be genuine stars. Nothing will top the year of Alex, Ruth, Diana and JLS tbh.

It's the X Factor magic ! :cheer: <3

I think the fact that Bruno Mars being considered as anybody's hero is more laughable than Kelly Clarkson but still if one of the female contestants had sung her song it wouldn't be half as obvious that the contestants have no control over their songs

Personally I thought Rebecca, Mary and Matt were passable and the rest were utter trainwrecks. The entertainment value is much higher this year but the overall talent is pretty bad. Last night's show proved that when the performances were more about the 'show' than the actual singing. I was disgusted with 10/14 of them and very disappointed with Aiden.

I'm liking this series a lot more than last year, but 2008 will always be my favourite year

I really want Wagner and Storm out today and for once I actually have no idea who will be in the bottom 3. I was completely wrong last week with the exception of F.Y.D

I'm thinking Wagner, Storm and a shock third place. John may just cling in for another week because he's so bland and boring, he can hide amongst all the controversial contestants. I forget he even exists until he pops up to bore us all to death. :/

I really can't stand One Direction.

Louis and Liam look genuine and nice, but Harry is surely the biggest prick in the history of teenage boys. He looks so much up himself, and his gesture while singing is so irritating.

The band as a whole is a joke.

I'd predict a bottom 3 of Storm, Paige and Diva Fever with Storm going first and Diva Fever losing the sing off.

edit - although saying that, Storm is from Scotland isn't he? In that case, they do tend to get behind their acts quite well so he may be safe.

You mean you don't agree with Simon and think that they are THE most exciting thing in pop music right now?

Clearly not, Simon is ridiculous when he is stating such nonsense.

It's only a band à la Bieber, BORING and so cliché in everything they do.

Rebecca is great but Cheryl has to give her better songs. She cannot stay in one spot each week and sing a ballad. She has such a unique voice and I think could be good as a performer would love to see her do an uptempo with a dance routine

I think that could see her go head and shoulders above the rest.I am sure she will be Top 3-Katie, Storm and John probably bottom 3.What happened to Storm I have not been paying him much attention but is he usually that poor.

Ew, I don't want to see Rebecca doing dance routines. How akward it would be for her and for us. She is an amazing singer, and I think so far the two songs she sang were perfect for her. It was not pure ballads like the ones Mary sings, it was kind of uptempo ballads, if that makes sense. Perfect for her.

It's like saying you'd want Corinne Bailey Rae to go street dancing. LOL.

Are you sure you think Harry's a prick? He's the curly-haired guy. I didn't notice any irritating gestures while he sings, I think you might be talking about the blond guy who makes funny moves and faces during their performances. Harry seems like a really nice guy.

I think me and Bertie are thinking of the same Harry - the one with the curly hair. He does seem up himself. I detest this whole idea of putting a group together out of five soloists. Its just Simon's way of putting five guys he wanted through in the boys category ... but because he couldn't make his mind up ... he made up a new rule.
