Yeah. I'm much more a fan of Tinie than I am of Gaga, but there's a layer of overlap, and Telephone was my favourite Lady Gaga single to date, at the time (bar Chillin'), whilst I hated Pass Out a lot. While I've grown to appreciate the brilliance of Pass Out over time, I still don't love it now, and I literally, almost vomited the first time I heard it. Seriously, I woke up and saw it #1 on iTunes, I was like "What on Earth is the song I've never heard before, by a girl called Tinie doing at #1"? Then I go to school, and I heard this absolutely vile song, and then someone was like "It's called Pass Out, by Tiny Tempest", and I was like "Oh, but she sounds like a man...oh wait".

But I was also happy Telephone got #1, also because I enjoy have a high turnover of #1s.

And I'm happy to see Deja Vu approaching the top 40! :D Hopefully it keeps climbing into next week!

I've had a similar situation to you, I hate Pass Out at first, but it has grown on me, although I knew he was male from the beginning. But I prefer GaGa to Tempah but I still like him :) And Telephone is my all-time favourite GaGa song, and is the most played song on my iTunes at 192 (Michael Jackson's Rockin' Robin is 2nd with 125). I missed most the drama that week that Telephone was 'officially' released as I was on holiday in France, and when I came back, I was dissapointed to see Tinie at #1 still but my biggest shock was to see Inna at #4 (Hot) as I hadn't heard of it before I went to France, and it was played on the radio, as if it were their national anthem! I think I might be going off-topic

Wow, I guess McFly are going to go ahead of Take That very soon then! No match for Take Thats first few days of sales though so shouldn't affect TTs chart position.

Poor Shayne :(

Also, why is No Love doing so badly? :(

I still believe Take That could overtake Rihanna in overall sales.Well, even if Rihanna wins the race, only by VERY small amount. It's not like she's outselling them big time. Not at all. Thy are VERY close.

TT are doing great on physicals, so there's still a chance. I blame their management really. They totally messed up their promo for the single. Shame.

The thing with Rihanna's track is its an instant hit. I haven't had a lot of time to watch the music channels and I don't really listen to radio stations with music often so I've hardly heard either track, but despite having only heard Rihanna's a few times I've had it in my head all day. Take That's - well, unfortunately I can't even think how it goes right now. Although I love their other tracks - Rule the World etc. & that doesn't mean the new song is awful, its just a bit forgettable in my opinion (and the video is a bit weird).

the albums are the ones that make the money, i dont think she'll break top 5 so yes take that will have the last laugh

Yeah, I'm gutted about No Love. :( I thought it would go top 10 easily. I prefer it to LTWYL, although I understand it's much less mainstream.

But, let's face it. No Love is probably the least radio friendly song in the top 40, heck, one of the least radio friendly songs of the year, so that's a massive chunk of promotion out the window.

Then we've got Lil Wayne. He can't really do anything for the success of the track because like nobody in the UK knows who he is, and just to make matters worse, he gets himself in prison again (or is he out yet?).

One thing that never made sense to me. How did he appear in the video if he was in prison?

It went top 10 on US iTunes though, so on that basis, I would've expected a bit better here. Oh well... :(

I wouldn't say it's one of the least radio friendly songs of the year, that's a bit of an overstatement!

Gutted it's looking like it'll flop, I love it too!

Lil' Wayne is out of prison as of about a week ago I think. I believe he filmed the video before going into prison, he filmed something ridiculous like 6 videos in the week before going!

So...JLS to take the number 1 spot next week? Or can Rihanna defy the odds again and hold on for a third week. Her lead is still pretty big after all?

lets hope not! that is one of the worst songs to enter the charts this year

perhaps the flood can benefit from the x factor and the documentary and stay/climb to number 1

So shocked at how Shayne & Take That are falling so quickly :o

I'm pretty much certain JLS will be #1 without a doubt with Love You More on Sunday.

Only Girl top 10 till next year looks like  Hopefully! ;)

Black Eyed Peas  #10, They'll be top 5 on itunes very soon.

I didn't think he'd fall this quickly, I am so so pleased. It'd be great if it could drop from the official top 10 by Sunday. :teresa:

Take That will only beat JLS in the singles next week, IF their album version of 'The Flood' is cherry picked enough, although JLS will have ridiculously high physical sales, with it being a charity song + their fanbase + xfactorr and CIN performances. Really hope 'Love You More' goes to number 1. It's my favourite by them, and if 'The Club Is Alive' got to number 1 for a week, this deserves 10 weeks plus!

Take That are also performing for CIN.

JLS will beat them, they do so well anyway, but being the official CiN single will give them an unattainable boost, I think.
