November 9, 201015 yr Gone from the top 40 Nadine, N-Dubz, Roll Deep, The Wanted (ATL), Katy B, Jamiroquai. Gary and Robbie
November 9, 201015 yr Out of the top 40 go Nadine, N-Dubz, Roll Deep, The Wanted, Peter Andre, Katy B, Jamiroquai and Robbie and Garry.
November 9, 201015 yr Really shocked at Nadine's position. I thought the album would fare better than the single. Obviously not!
November 9, 201015 yr ...back to Girls Aloud, which will survive mainly on fanbase and Cheryl purchases... and then bye bye career. Edited November 9, 201015 yr by Mason
November 9, 201015 yr OOOOOOOOH NADINE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought it and like it so i'll not cry.... yet. Waiting for Dave Stewart & Barbara Gaskin to turn up? :P
November 9, 201015 yr The Gift and The Flood set to top charts 11:23 | Tuesday November 9, 2010 Two familiar names look likely to top the charts this Sunday, with Take That’s The Flood (Polydor) and Susan Boyle’s The Gift (Syco) both selling strongly. On the singles chart, The Flood, the first new song from Take That and Robbie Williams to be released since they reunited, sold almost 34,000 copies in its first two days of release, putting it slightly ahead of the current number one, Rihanna’s Only Girl (In The World) [Def Jam], although it looks set to be a close race to the top. New entries from McFly feat. Taio Cruz (Shine A Light [island / Super]) and Shayne Ward (Gotta Be Somebody [syco]) should also challenge for the top 5, while Adele’s cover of Bob Dylan To Make Me Feel My Love (XL), an X Factor favourite, could climb back into the top 10. On the albums chart, The Gift, the follow up to the 9m-selling Dreamed A Dream, got off to a reasonably strong start, selling almost 30,000 copies on its first day of release. That puts it ahead of Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits (Mercury), Cheryl Cole’s second solo album Messy Little Raindrops (Polydor) and James Blunt’s new album Some Kind Of Trouble (Atlantic / Custard). But while Cole’s album continues to sell strongly, shifting another 17,000 copies yesterday to add to its 105,431 last week, Girls Aloud band mate Nadine is off to a slower start with her Tesco exclusive solo album Insatiable (Black Pen). It sold slightly under 2,000 copies yesterday, which puts it in the lower reaches of the top 40, according to Official Charts Company midweek sales flashes, below new albums from Ray Davies and Cee-Lo Green, but ahead of releases from Roll Deep and I Blame Coco.
November 9, 201015 yr Disaster for Roll Deep and I Blame Coco in the albums! They should have been released after Green Light and Self Machine respectively... Oh well, TT only marginally ahead, looks like Rihanna is definitely going to stay at #1 this week! The Flood should sell about 85-90k going by recent Tues->Sun conversion rates, perhaps slightly less, which is about 30 or 40k less than I expected. Will be interesting to see how the album performs, and indeed if everyone was just holding off for that.
November 9, 201015 yr Take That only slightly ahead of Rihanna according to the Music Week report. Foregone conclusion who'll be #1 on Sunday then.
November 9, 201015 yr Only 34k for TT and not even double Shayne! Hmmm thought this was a cert to be a big big seller. Ah well Robbie's inclusion must've be putting people off ;)
November 9, 201015 yr Only 34k for TT and not even double Shayne! Hmmm thought this was a cert to be a big big seller. Ah well Robbie's inclusion must've be putting people off ;) Well it definitely puts me off buying anything from them!
November 9, 201015 yr Well it definitely puts me off buying anything from them! I used to think like that but I'm not sure I'd be too keen on The Flood even if Robbie wasn't with them. Its going to be close run thing for the number 1 on Sunday. Shayne's doing well! Kath
November 9, 201015 yr Why would people not buy it just because Robbie is back. Surely a good song is a good song. I buy songs based on the song not who sings it.
November 9, 201015 yr Nadine says she hadn't a hope of beating Cheryl because of her X Factor connections. Well, the Benedictine Nuns of Notre Dame are also beating Nadine Coyle. Were they on X Factor as well?
November 9, 201015 yr I am shocked The Flood's only sold 34K first two days :o Yes I know there has been no promo yet but really - on the back of it's huge airplay and general OTT media hype I assumed it would sail to #1. I mean it's only sld 7,000 more than Shame  It's a million times superior so it is very odd. A very bad idea bringing the release date forward and not bringing the promotion forward as well. Shocked how low SuBo's sales are :o Her debut sold 130,000 copies first day so this is disappointing to say the least. Edited November 9, 201015 yr by De Niro

Despite the huge media hype & airplay their style of music just isn't geared towards the majority of downloaders. Not shocked at Subo's sales at all. There's no hype or story this year. She'll disappear just like Paul Potts. Edited November 9, 201015 yr by truly talented
