Rihanna will overtake Take That in the week- although I think it will sell well in the long run as they have X Factor (where they are the one their making a big fuss about), Children In Need and their documentary on saturday, plus the album so it should be consistent and not drop like a stone :D

 

on the rest, I seriously hope Shayne doesnt stay top 5, and Hold Yuh doesnt get anywhere the top 10 :puke:

 

and a shame about MCR, but top 30 would be pretty good all things considered- it was never going to be huge

Yes! Adele's album in the top 40 :wub: I hope it manages to rise throughout the week ^^. Shayne has started off reasonably well too, but I feel as the week progresses he will fall. I hope P!nk manages top 10. Great to see Katy hanging in there! I think she'll go above Shayne and land at no.4 again.

 

Oh and strong sales for SuBo, I guess it will do a million+ within the next month or so and be a contender, along with take that, for biggest selling album of 2010 :)

Brilliant for P!nk. I can see it doing a 'Bad Romance' and peaking low top 10 for a while, before it gets a boost to number 1! I really can't see P!nk, not performing on the final of X Factor or something...

 

Really? I can see it peaking at 11/12 this week and then either having a Shontelle sort of chart run or disappearing fairly quickly. But maybe I'm biased as I don't see anything particularly special in the track when holding it up to some of her past classics. Bad Romance was clearly a monster waiting to happen which made its initial crap chart run in the UK all the more frustrating. At least it eventually got the success it deserved though!

 

Pink's profile has dipped a little bit since the Funhouse era I think. She's still a big star but not GaGa/Katy Perry/Rihanna style famous at the moment, maybe on the next rung down with Kylie and Britney - still smashing but not quite at the very top of their game like they used to be. I can't see her on the X Factor final anyway, it's usually saved for either absolute megastars or Cowell/Walsh affiliated bores like Westlife.

I think McFly will actually hang on. Shine a Light seems to still be going strong on Itunes compared to other tracks up there. Its still climbing.

im just reading the itunes update from another thread... :P

but if they are climbing probably at some points after a very lil promotion tmr...might have some effect to climb more and i can see Katy will fall a lil in itunes lol (wishful thinking hahaha :D)

Shine a Light by McFly seems to be appealing to people away from their fanbase a lot more than Party Girl - although I do think that certainly had extra interest too.

 

Don't think their promo will do much to help apart from maybe Children In Need next week. As always I think next week will be more interesting than this week for McFly. Fingers crossed for number 3, though.

Party girl seemed to have been liked by people outside of the fanbase but Shine a light seems togo beyond that and i have to say im very surprised as it's not really had any promotion but somehow people outside of the fanbase seems to know about it.

I cant. Its her weakest single in quite some time, in fact, the least catchy out of the new songs on her best of album. I think it will fall next week or hover in the top15.

The McFly single is actually a grower. I quite like it.
