Posted November 16, 201014 yr Usually around this time there is one or two rumours as to what the winner's single will be. What are the rumoured tracks? What would be your choice of song for them to cover? For me, the perfect "winners single" would be R Kelly 'The World's Greatest', it re-enters the iTunes chart in some form or another whenever it's used on the show. The lyrics are typical winning song, I am the greatest because I won and overcome the odds etc... But this year, Simon doesn't seem to have used it so much... Is that a sign??
November 16, 201014 yr Ideally they'd write a NEW SONG. It honestly can't be that hard! Stick Stargate or somebody reliable on production duties and BAM you've got a decent, original hit.
November 16, 201014 yr Author Well, we know that ain't going to happen. I don't know why though as 'That's My Goal' was the biggest selling XF winners single, up until Alexandra. So we know he can do it, but for some reason he chooses not to. I don't know. Isn't he good friends with Ryan Tedder? Surely he can pay Tedder to write him an original song, to fit over the instrumental of 'Halo'/'Already Gone' etc...
November 16, 201014 yr Havent heard any rumours- but I wouldnt be surprised if its Dont Stop Believing or Make You Feel My Love <_< if it had to be a cover, I would personally love it to be Boston's More Than a Feeling that would be immense    as long as they dont ruin the song like they did with Hallelujah :puke2:
November 16, 201014 yr Like Jark has rightly mentioned, why not have something original? I thought it was shocking that - of all the songs in the world - 'The Climb' was chosen as last years winners single. Poor Joe, cursed from the offset. :drama: Surely Simon Cowell has got some album track rejects he could dust down and rebrand as the new X Factor single. I just hope if Matt or Rebecca win, he doesn't destroy their career before it's even started with another uninspired choice of winners' single. If Cher or One Direction ( :( ) win then I couldn't care less. I don't see any of the others winning the competition. However, I'm looking forward to the release of Wagner's debut album 'Wagner'. :D Released in time for Valentines day.
November 16, 201014 yr i'd love for it to be something original but surely it's gonna be make you feel my love after how popular it's become?
November 16, 201014 yr We all assumed it would be DSB after how huge it became last year but it wasn't... I really thought at the start of the year they'd go for something original after the RATM scandal but after seeing this year's season, Cowell is as lazy and manipulative as ever so expect to see some poor sod's track butchered. The man is just lazy. Same with the Haiti business. He'd rather just massacre an already existing song than spend time developing something original and interesting. As long as it gets him a quick splurge of cash - doesn't matter to Cowell.
November 16, 201014 yr Ideally they'd write a NEW SONG. It honestly can't be that hard! Stick Stargate or somebody reliable on production duties and BAM you've got a decent, original hit. Or they could do a competition for members of the public to write a song and they choose a winner. Do they do this in the U.S.? I think it's a great idea.
November 20, 201014 yr Anything BUT Make You Feel My Love, already sick of the song. And for the Haiti business, Cowell didn't have enough time to make up an original song because of the rush to give money to earthquake victims. An original song is a bad idea cos it won't sell as much as something everyone's heard of before (e.g Hallelujah, The Climb). And of course Cowell doesn't care about sales and money, lol Edited November 20, 201014 yr by danielG

November 20, 201014 yr An original track PLEASE! I'm sure Shayne's winner track was the most successful, and that was the only original.
November 20, 201014 yr Author An original song is a bad idea cos it won't sell as much as something everyone's heard of before (e.g Hallelujah, The Climb). And of course Cowell doesn't care about sales and money, lol'That's My Goal', is the 2nd biggest selling X Factor winners single, so what you've just said is complete crap. I'm sorrry, but had 'That's My Goal' been released recently i'm pretty sure it would have been the biggest selling single, as X Factor is even more popular now, than it was back in 2005. If it's an original song, then people won't be comparing and may actually think it's a good song. American Idol produces original winning singles, why can't X Factor?
November 21, 201014 yr Graeme Colton's Best Days would be a great one for Matt to sing. Graeme sang it on American Idol in 2008. Shame the song wasn't released over here!
November 22, 201014 yr While i think i might die from horror, Delta Goodrem's 'Together We Are One' would make a good winners track. It's track record is pretty good seeing as it was the official anthem of the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. However, given this years crop there isn't anyone who could really do it justice. Rebecca and Katie could pull off an alrightish cover.
November 22, 201014 yr I actually wouldn't mind a Rebecca cover of Make You Feel My Love, it would be the best winner's single yet (not that that's hard). Obviously I'd prefer an original song, or at least an inspired cover. Hell, why not a Christmas song? It would sell just as many copies as usual (ie 500k - 1m) in an even shorter space of time - more money more quickly for SC
November 24, 201014 yr While i think i might die from horror, Delta Goodrem's 'Together We Are One' would make a good winners track. You know what, Believe Again would make a fantastic winners' song. Obviously it wouldn't touch Delta's original but it would at least bring the song to the attention of the UK when it never had that chance first time round.
