November 19, 201014 yr An excellent piece of music and very haunting (Chi Mai, not Making Your Mind Up!). Remember it very well - from a master composer of film music of course, and think it had been used before in a couple of films. The TV series was huge at the time - Wednesday's on BBC2.

November 19, 201014 yr 'Release Me' by Engelbert Humperdinck got to #1, and then a few decades later was used as the theme to The Fast Show. (Amazing sketch show from the 90s) I suppose that doesn't count but I felt like plugging The Fast Show :P

November 20, 201014 yr I loved Paula Cole's song from DC! I dunno if the Eastenders one counts but Anita Dobson sang 'Anyone Can Fall In Love'. Made #4 in 1986 and she played Dirty Den's missus.
