OMG it's got even better! That Louis/Katie hater call-in was FABULOUS. Is that the first time a caller has been booed by the audience?
What is going on with Aled tonight, you're on FIRE. Moopy grins to nearly all of your posts in this thread!

Aled, you MUST JOIN MOOPY BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OUT.

Good to see my brilliance being appreciated.

Coincidentally I set up a Moopy account a week or so back (no posts as of yet made) in preperation for my inevitable forthcoming move to either there or the Popjustice boards when I decide I can longer bear BJ any longer.

Oh, and Xtra Factor is indeed just marvellous to watch. The fact that Konnie is hideously out of her depth just adds to how brilliantly awful it is to watch.

1 Mary

2 Katie

3 One Direction :o

4 Cher

5 Paije

6 Rebecca

7 Wagner, not bottom because because Matt's was so bad

8 Disgustingly-Growling Matt

Matt - Simply awful, awful start. His worst performance by far.

Cher - OK, bit boring, bit karaoke but in tune.

1D - Not bad, about the same as last week but not great either

Rebecca - Definitely her worst so far

Mary - Way to go! Perfect Bassey stylings, one of her best

Paije - Decent stab at it, not particularly memorable but good vocals

Wagner - Yeah, OK, he was bad! Still funny though. Great comeback to Cheryl though, put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!

Katie - bad start, great, great ending, plus she actually works that hairdo brilliantly

On performance a Matt-Rebecca bottom 2

Possibly a Katie-Matt bottom 2? Or Katie-Paije? Think Mary should be safe off that, and Cher and Rebecca ain't going anywhere yet, nor 1D. And La Wagner is hopefully still safe!!!

Ended up watching The X Factor tonight with most of the family - interesting clashes of opinion tonight. Personally, I was really disappointed. -_-

Matt - We all came to the conclusion that tonight Matt was average. The irony is that Matt "average" is still better than a couple of other contestants at their best. 7/10

Cher - Cher needs to sing more often and avoid all the rapping. First 'Stay', tonight 'Imagine' showed that Cher does have a really unique vocal style. I used to think "wannabe Katie Melua...who raps" but actually Cher's vocals are quite distinctive. 9/10

One Direction - I didn't recognise the song until the chorus it had been changed that much. Simon Cowell is clearly making them the next pop/rock group to emerge from the UK. They can't harmonise and at least one of them is guaranteed to be singing off key. They were better last week and tonight's performance didn't grab my attention at all. 5/10

Rebecca - I really love Rebecca but I could hear her nerves tonight - she sounded slightly off key throughout the song which I always find offputting when listening to singers. The odd bum note I can understand, but not a whole bundle of them. :( Not a great night for Rebecca imo. 6/10

Mary - Well I didn't know the song but my brother said she was doing a very good version of it. Apparantly Mary was singing the song in the style of Shirley Bassey's cover rather than The Beatles original. I don't know but I thought Mary sounded good tonight. 7/10

Paije - Excellent vocal performance bettering his 'I'm A Believer/Hey Ya!' mash up two weeks ago. I certainly hope Paije lasts longer in the competition than Katie and Wagner. I always said he was a great potential British soul singer since his audition and he does seem to be getting better each week. Such a shame his miming is atrocious ('Can't Stop Moving' anyone? :kink: ). 8/10

Wagner - "The winner of The X Factor 2010 is..........." :nocheer: 0/10

Katie - I missed this performance but I did notice the wig (it was a wig, right?) she was wearing. I give the wig a 7/10. I'm pretty sure if I listen it back I'd give the same score going off other comments posted?

Based on what I saw tonight, I'd like to see One Direction go home.

However I'm not silly enough to think it could happen yet so I suppose Wagner should go. :(

I'm forgiving Matt for tonight

Tonight was definitly Matts worst night but he was still enjoyable and i really hope he stays. Rebecca for me was even more disapointing than usual same ole same ole week in week out and for some reason the judges dont say a word about it, anyone else who performs in the same style every week is criticised, i would love rebecca to go this week but i know there isnt a hope n hell of it happening.
I've been out tonight, what exactly did Cheryl say to Wagner? And what did Matt do wrong?
Yeah i've been reading on here, Matt's not been getting the best media attention as of late. What's gone off exactly? :o

He's slagged off Katie and Wagner quite unfairly, and imo just to 'look good' because he must know they're the least liked by the public. He seems like a bit of a bitch tbh.

Matt Cardle: I admire him for trying something new. I liked the production and song choice, but his vocals nowhere near as good as his previous performances 7/10

Cher Lloyd: I enjoyed her entire performance for once. Usually I'd be praying that she doesn't ruin the song by rapping. Her vocals were a lot stronger than previous weeks 8/10

One Direction: I liked that and love the fact that Harry now sings solo too, but it seems to be the same type of performance from them each week. I'd like to see them maybe have some choreography 7/10

Rebecca Ferguson: Didn't like the styling at all this week. She has had better performances, but I still thought that was good and the vocals were strong 8/10

Mary Byrne: I never really find myself enjoying her performances too much, but theres no denying that she has an incredible performance and that was a lot better than the past 2 weeks 8/10

Paije Richardson: I've found it hard to take him seriously recently, but I really enjoyed that. Great song choice and it showed off his vocals well 8/10

Wagner: I love Hey Jude, so that was the only part of the performance I actually liked. Although, once again I don't understand why he is still in the competition. Now that he has made the tour I really hope he will finally leave tommorow 3/10

Katie Waissel: I do feel sorry for her with the amount of hate she recieves. The performance was good, but I do think it is time for her to leave now as it is is obvious that the public don't seem to be connecting with her. 7/10

Surely Cherryl knows, more than most, not to believe everything you read in the papers??

Weird how she's been banging on for weeks about the awful press that Katie's been given (and calling the press liars) and yet when it comes to bad press about Wagner ... she chooses to believe it.

I hated Wagner until now ... but I hope he survives another week. Personally though ... I think it'll be him and anyone other than Katie in the bottom two tomorrow.

I thought Katie was OK ... nothing brilliant. But it's no use hiding behind a ginger wig! The public still know it's her!

Best tonight (for me anyway)

Matt (showed he had some grit in his voice to balance out the girlie stuff)

Rebecca

Cher (she sounded like Dolly Parton tonight - enjoyed it ... but she cannot hide her arrogance. She knows she's won this year's X-F)

Katie - best performance from her in the main part of the show. I still don't buy her though - she's done enough to fool people into not making her bottom two though

Paige (On the basis of the first half of his performance ... however - the bit where he ad-libbed ... he was just trying too hard)

Mary (Pub singer ... and excellent pub singer. She did nothing to make the song her own ... unlike Cher and Rebecca ... and even Katie. She just did the Bassey version ... right down to the last jazzy few notes)

One Direction - totally agree with Danni. Three of them are ok ... the other two need to find other careers

Wagner - what can I say?

I thought the same thing.

I applaud Matt for trying something new. It wasn't his best (beats Bleeding Love though) and it isn't his style. I hope he's safe but fear he'll be in trouble. Cher was good again-didn't get the negativity. I hate it when she raps. One Direction were ok but there should only be 3 of them. I actually thought Rebecca was fantastic once again. Mary was fabulous. I thought Paije was the star of the night and I hope he's safe. The fact that no judge could properly comment on Wagner says it all. And as for Katie-better, don't get this week's hype because I feel she's now out of her depth (well, she's better than Wagner at least) whereas Aiden and TreyC probably wouldn't be were they still here.

Please Wagner go, but I have a horrible feeling it'll be Matt.

Very true. There's some double standards there...

And to be honest, I thought Wagner's response was actually pretty good and reasonable - it does sound like a perfectly feasible explanation to be honest, comments getting taken out of context.

She did speak up for her roots though ... saying how proud she was being from a council estate in Newcastle like! Woi! She's oor vera oon 'Cheryl From The Block!'

Seen as an attempt to humiliate a contestant ... she behaved not much better than Mrs Osborne did against Steve Brookstein in the first series. At least Mrs Osborne didn't try to hide her venom behind a sweet smile and flowing locks!

I love Matt but that performance was all too contrived. The raspy vocals just did not work. I think his huge fanbase will just about keep him out of the bottom 3 though (hopefully).

Correction - the gutter press say he has slagged off Katie and Wagner.

Absolutely fucking horrific night. EUGH.

10 Wagner - After tonight, he HAS to win. That was epic. <3

06 Paije Richardson - Best vocal performance of the night. He looses points for performing it as an X-Factor winners single. The choir was NOT needed.

05 Matt Cardle - I wub that song. He acted it out well, didn't sing it well at all however.

02 Mary Byrne - I JUST DON'T CARE. She bores me.

01 One Direction - Awfulllllllll.

00 Katie Waissel - I've NEVER liked that interpretation of the song (Tina Turner sings it like that). She looked like a tit and sung like a tit. She should take up singing lessons.

-1 Cher Lloyd - That. Was. Awful. Anyone who thinks that it was good needs shooting.

-1 Rebecca Ferguson - She murdered one of my favourite songs of all time. That was horrific! She's a really crap singer imo.

LOL. Best part is, everything she said is actually completley right.

My rankings of last night (which was awful, I do hate these damn themed nights where they all just seem like karaoke)

01 / One Direction / AMAZING. I know Buzzjack hates bands that don't have vaginas but they're actually stupendously good.

02 / Paije / Paije does NOT get anywhere near enough credit, he is fabulous, and if he can get through on his averagness last week this should sail him through.

03 / Cher / Any other week, she would be lower. Dont get me wrong I am GLAD to see her drop the rap and it was her second best performance after 'Stay' because I prefer her to just sing, but she was still a bit flat and shaky in places, nowhere near as good as 'Stay'. I am warming to her a bit though :(

04 / Katie / I'm not sure if it was because the week was so awful or if she was actually good for once, but she seemed to put the energy of her bottom two into the main show finally.

05 / Matt / Good to see him take on a boys song, it was good but meh. I just don't like HIM.

06 / Rebecca / Oh my poor Bex :( Take note Buzzjack, this is a loon who is able to DEMONSTRATE IMPARTIALITY. You may all find it rare. She was not so great last night, definatley felt the nerves and a bit shaky and flat in places :(

07 / Mary / YAWN

08 / Wagner / LOL, I think the most fabulous part was his constant shouting of HEY JEW JEW JEW JEW JEW JEW JEW.
