Black Eyed Peas #3 and ##28..

See for some artists, i dont see why they release albums.. espicially if they dont write there own songs. I've always wanted to bring up this Issue as Like Roll Deep's albums sold less than 30k with three singles behind them yet Good Times has earned them around 300k which is more profit than their album. I just think Some people who are not albums artists should only realase singles as albums could actually cause the artist to flop. Alesha most likely spent alot on her album and drummer boy is most likely to gain more profit than the album itself (which charted at 84) what do you guys think of this issue?

If they had released the album after their 2nd single (Green Light), the album would have sold a LOT more. The 3rd single bombed before the album was even released, so it was obvious the album wouldn't sell as much.

Album tracks get used in adverts, tv shows, movies, etc, which can make them more money than a single in some cases. It also shows off the artist as a producer and writer, which in turn gets them more work and more money. An album also makes it easier for the more casual fan to find an artists music instead of scanning through 10 singles on iTunes.

Go Top 40 'Everytime'! PLEASEEEE! #46, #136 & #174

Cher did a surprisingly fantastic job of it! :o

Willow :puke2: Another crap song stealing the #1 from Ellie next year then.

Ellie Goulding is utterly repulsive, and her latest output is yet another rancid track in a line of utter $h!te.

I for one am really really really hoping Glee's DSB manages to get quite high in the charts, even if its just to see the reaction it'll get from the irrational and moronic haters.

It's up to #67 currently :cheer:

I am completely disgusted that 'Tone Damli - Butterflies' isn't in the top1000. The british public have no taste what-so-ever, its the best track to get a release in 2010 in this country hands down.

I doubt Tone's fallen that far... she's probably one of those that's suffered from that "bug"... I doubt she would have fallen 270-something to out of the top 1000 completely within what? 3 Days?

I really really really hope so. The album is still on iTunes, so fingers crossed it's just a f*** up

Now come on Phil, it's not a matter of taste - barely anybody in the country bloody knows who she is!

Not through lack of trying, she's been top50 on airplay for 4 weeks and A-list on Radio2 since the end of bloody October.

Urban albums sell far better in the US though, and since they already exist, they have little to lose by releasing them in the UK too.

Also, if albums are released after too many singles have been pulled from them, there's not much incentive to buy what is left - essentially just album-filler.

IMO she's cute.

Tone Damli? Who?

Radio 2 playlist means bugger all when it comes to downloads.

Norwegian singer, Brunette in my sig + my avatar. Only responsible for 2010's best album and Norway's answer to Love The Way You Lie.

Best thing to come out of Norway in a bloody long time, if not ever.

Didn't you claim Tone was the blonde not that long ago? :P

Tbh, Joe McElderry needs to get his ass in gear and start climbing. If only he hadn't released 'Ambitions' as the lead single.

'Wide Awake' is actually a solid pop album, albeit with far too much auto-tune.

248. Missing You - Abi

deserves so much better, she's just joined hollyoaks and glad to see it's made an effect after Steph's funeral.

I'm in two minds about the re-entry of "Everytime", that troll murdered it, but I love seeing Britney on my top 50 iTunes! And by far her best single !! :)

I love Stuck In My Head but Love The Way You Lie is the last thing I'd compare it to. Lyrically and musically, they couldn't be more far removed from each other - the only similarity I can think of is male rap verses and female singer chorus but nearly every chart song these days is of this structure
