^^on the xfactor point-maybe thats a result of last years RAGE wake up call.maybe music lovers should have just let the xfactor run its course and become naturally unpopular like big bro!

Simon has a real chance to push x factor to a different level or maybe give the show a some credibility if he allows matt to record songs he has wrote himself, if x factor can produce a star who can write their own music the show will be gain some critical acclaim and show a true star can be born from the show, to date matt is the best candidate for this to happen. I really like matts version of many of horror (although the original is best) and i would love it to be the best selling single of the year.

I agree. I think I`m right in saying Matt is the only winner who released a self-penned album before X Factor (with his band Seven Summers). SC would regain some credibility and break the mould of previous male winners, by allowing him to write/co-write his own album. We know he has the potential - SS album has some cracking tracks on it.

The year end announced on R1 will change yes, as the sales for last Sunday to this Friday need to be taken into account. This means that Matt Cardle will probably be the YE #1 :(
Cheryl Cole for shock climb to number 1 :o

What do you mean ?

Yes they should do, its only 1 day as the cut off point will be Saturday midnite for the new week.

You're wrong they wont count as Saturday is the 1st of January. The sales will be counted until Friday at Midnight.

Surely they'll add the whole weeks sales onto the YE chart like they always do.

It's done on the chart weeks of the year, not January 1st to December 31st. Therefore 2010 will be from Sunday January 3rd 2010 to Saturday January 1st 2011.

But then it won't be a whole week? Just because it will be 2011 then it doesn't mean the sales from that day won't count towards the chart.

No mids yet on MW site, we might not get any, will check from time to time, probably get posted this afternoon between 2:30pm to 3:30pm. No news articles have been updated since last Thursday.

Any person that asks where are the mids will get a warning :D

Is the update on Radio 1 today still happening?

No, Greg James is transmitting a whole show from 1pm to 4pm

No mid updates on MW but a news article has been updated for today :o

To be honest I can't see any mids appearing this week, anyhow the chart looks boring if you look at the iTunes chart, you will see how the top 40 is shaping up for this Sunday. It seems a bit pointless posting any mids this week.

Rihanna Ft Drake have moved upto no1 on itunes today. Hopefully, Matt will continue to fall.
Matt has just tweeted "nearly 700k single sales." I assume he got that from Syco. Does he mean physicals only because his total last week was 739k wasn`t it ? And does he mean including sales so far this week ? I`m confused.

Just watching the VIVA Official Best Selling Songs of 2010, and they kicked off by saying Rage Against The Machine's Killing In The Name was the best selling song of last year, is there any point in watching this when it kicks off with a blatant lie.

700k is probably right, since the cock up has arisen.
