Gutted for Diddy not climbing as fast as I'd hoped/would have liked. It's a fantastic song and probably Alex Da Kids best production, to date...

obviously.

I just tried to show how stupid it is to use glee as an explaination.

How is it stupid?

It's perfect, works wonders both for the show and the single.

The thing is, it would have still been great promotion with the single released last night, like all the other releases. People who are going to buy it after watching Glee don't care if it is released one hour or one day before the episode. She's gonna lose one day of sales, and it's going to seriously impact her charting.

They have messed up the release of this SO freaking bad. Major flop.

Being outsold by Jodie Connor And Agrro Santos.

Then again wasn't Aggro Santos on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here? I didn't see any of the last series but I'm sure I read he was "going into the jungle". I'm shocked his single looks set to do well this week. The only poster I can remember saying it'd be a hit was Mikey.

I hope Britney literally stomps her way to that number 1 spot to prove everyone wrong.

That comes closer to proving everybody right than proving everybody wrong

I was gonna say this - the majority of people on here think she has it in the bag - her going to number 1 would prove the minority wrong

Also how the hell is Glee promotion for Hold It Against Me? The song isn't even on it!

(if anyone was going to reply 'because they're doing Britney songs', I already know and that would not improve Britney's sales by any more than a tiny fraction)

#03 Adele - Rolling In The Deep

#20 Aggro Santos & Kimberley Walsh - Like U Like (Top 10 maybe? )

Sooo happy Wretch 32 hasn't had the best start.

Because people will be searching Britney Spears in on iTunes after the episode and the next day to buy many of her songs and albums, USA iTunes for example, most of her albums went up and got in the Top 50.

After the episode finishes tomorrow HIAM will obviously be in the Top 10 iTunes list which will lead people to buy it, hopefully.

Because she is IN it? What better promotion then the person herself being on the screen?

People will go to download the tracks, see her song and download it too?

Wretch 32 is starting to climb really fast though - the same thing always happens with RnB/Hip Hop artists, such as Roll Deep.

Her appearing somewhere won't promote a song that isn't mentioned...

And people will go and download the Glee versions, not the originals...

Britney will be watched by over 1million people tomorow night. People will become obsessed with Britney again and rush out to buy her songs. Perfect Promo ^_^

Because it's a Britney Spears special? I think it's quite obvious that it'd help. Like how all the Katy Perry tracks climbed after she was on X Factor, for example, even though none of the songs were performed. But, as someone else said, I don't think the people who'd buy the track because of Glee would be more enticed to buy it because it was released on Monday, rather than Sunday...

I wish Coming Home was higher! :(

I really can't see many people who weren't planning to buy HIAM anyway being persuaded to by Glee

Though I can already tell that when it shoots up iTunes as it's expected to people will attribute it to Glee anyway, so enjoy that I guess? There's no real way of proving either way whether it had any effect as it'll be climbing after (and during and before) Glee anyway

But that's different because they're older songs... people see an artist and realise they don't own their older songs that they like and go to download them. I don't see how an appearance by a celebrity somewhere would encourage increased sales of a *new* song when they're not even promoting it
