Adele's on first week I think. Though I feel Bruno's could do wonders, like a 'The Defamation Of Strickland Banks'-ish chart performance.

I really think Adele is overhyped! Had it not been for the xfactor her album sales for 21 will be less.

Adele! No way Bruno! It needs more than 2 huge singles to top album charts, especially against Adele!

Adele will win as it will be her first week versus Bruno's second week.

 

But I was working from AcerBen's new release schedule, which said both were released on the 24th?

it will probably be bruno mars, he moved the date of the release forward because so many people wanted it

 

While that may be true, the real reason must surely be to avoid the very competition this thread is about. :P

Heard bruno's album and it's very forgetful and bland. It hasn't even been a big seller in the US and i hope the same follows here.

Technically, you're right about the X Factor thing.

 

But, she deserves the hype. Outstanding voice, beautiful lyrics and an authentic British talent. -_-

Bruno Mars. He has had monster hits! Perhaps something like Adelle 60K and Bruno 90K (followed by Rihanna 40K)... I still don't believe either act is set to sell huge amounts. If Bruno continues to release hit songs he may sell a lot in the long run though.

Bruno deserves it more imo but Adele has easily got it. They should have capitalised on his popularity for when 'Just The Way You Are' was released, imo. Matt's X Factor performance of it, would have boost his sales even more, also. Both should be pretty big albums though. Bruno is the male version of Alicia Keys and will be a strong album seller as well as a strong singles seller.

I seriously doubt he'd care about that. The song has already been big enough in the USA, I don't think he'd give a $h!t if it peaked at #101 here. He clearly just moved it forward because of the demand as many artists do.

I am not too sure now after Grenade selling 150k :o

I think Bruno will definitely clear 100k next week. I was expecting him to sell about the same as Katy Perry first week, but I actually think Bruno is probably bigger in Britain right now than Katy was when she released Teenage Dream.

 

I don't think Adele will sell anywhere near 150k though. What did 19 do, 80k? 120K max for Adele, double platinum overall this year.

Just downloaded adele's album (it's leaked) it's amazing every song is amazing, got it on pre order cant wait to get it on CD should get it friday off hmv :)

Just saw the HMV ad, so Bruno is out this week :) They can both get number 1 then :wub:
