Vice-versa don't you mean? :P

I agree with him, f*** You & JTWYA are classics so don't sound old while Firework is just a nice pop song that gets old quickly.

They won't be top 5. They might be top 10, but I want Tinie to make it this week. :( They'll be top 10 next week though.

the question is JLS in the top 5 or the 10 ??

I doubt they'll get to top 5 - I reckon lower top 10

They were 11 in the almost charts

They definitely won't be top 5 but they're likely to be around 9 or 10 :( Denying Invincible a top 10 spot

A green-eyed beauty with a sultry voice, Rihanna was discovered as a teenager on her island home of Barbados, and quickly signed with the venerable Def Jam records. Powered by a Soft Cell sample, her infectious dancehall/Caribbean single "Pon de Replay," from her album the MUSIC OF THE SUN, became the summer jam of 2005, peaking at number two on the charts. By 2006 she had become a worldwide sensation, and her second album, A GIRL LIKE ME, went platinum, boosted by a Nike ad song, guest appearances on ALL MY CHILDREN, and a film part in BRING IT ON: ALL OR NOTHING. Further success followed with 2007's double platinum GOOD GIRL GONE BAD, which spawned the all conquering "Umbrella" - topping the UK singles chart for ten weeks in the summer of that year. - HMV

I know that it's his opinion, but surely FU and JTWYA have gotten old quickly, as they have been overplayed by the radio, whereas Firework is still sounding fresh?

Still absolutely love this song. Another epic chart run in the making and another future million seller.
Perhaps Solveig making the top 20 is signalling the beginning of the end to the curse? I hope so, it is a bit stupid that songs which were so big just a couple of hours max away from us can flop here.

It's not one of my 'absolute' favourites, I like it a lot though :kink:

But yeah, the Euro hit/UK flop (or top 40 long runner) curse was one of the most irritating things of 2010 for me. Understandable for Satellite with no promo apart from the ESC win (and being released two days too late to capitalise) and Alors On Danse (it's in French!) but what the HELL happened to Waka Waka? I can't fathom how it missed the top 20 here, it was everywhere all summer apart from Radio 1's playlist but that didn't stop Hips Don't Lie going to #1 in 2006

(35) Glee Cast-Empire State Of Mind

Boy, this is very bad. I just which this TV series is cancelled.

Thank god this is finally out of the top 10, I am well and truly bored of it now -_-

Your Song and Firework though are still

Whooo! Only Girl!!! :D :D

I reckon this could sell over 900,000!!

I think it will pass a million. Its just out of the top 10 and has sold around 760,000

There could be 4 million sellers from 2010 :o

When We Collide, Love The Way You Lie, Just The Way You Are & Only Girl should all sell a million by the end of 2011/beginning of 2012

I wonder how much longer OG(ITW) will stick around for? Should be quite a while but probably not as long as Bruno or Cee Lo

I REALLY hope it's JLS next (or anyone except Tinie really)

It's not one of my 'absolute' favourites, I like it a lot though :kink:

I reckon it's because Wavin' Flag took over as 'most popular new world cup song' and that pushed Waka Waka out of the limelight. And Wavin' Flag didn't do very well in most other countries.

Firework has been played a LOT too, in all fairness, but yes, Forget You and Just the Way You Are are on a whole other level. :drama: I actually can't believe it (well, I can. I knew the first time I heard them that they'd be massive radio hits).
