Bruno had a massive 1st week. He could easily do 80k for 2nd week, I am not sure Britney can do that in 6 days...

 

Anyway imo it is 'justice served', Bruno's song is 20 times better than Britney's.

i'm hoping to wake up tomorrow to find britney in top 5 on itunes :)

Toxic is already higher than where Telephone was last week, and The Only Exception higher than Empire State of Mind- so I think Toxic should get top 20 this time- this performance was definitely a lot better than anything last week ^_^

Personally I don't think Britney is doing badly judging that it has had only 6 days of airplay and no video but it's just everyone on here was hyping it to be the biggest hit ever and fly straight to #1 because it did so in most other countries, but people forget that the British chart works differently from these countries and in the UK, things are based more heavily on music videos ect, just look at Telephone! I think Britney still should manage to get top 5 officially this week and mabye go #1 a couple of weeks down the line when the airplay is bigger and she has a video behind her.

To be fair, Telephone got to #15 on iTunes like 4 months before the video was released. :lol:

 

But yeah, I've noticed in the US certain artist's songs seem to go to #1 on iTunes a couple of days after release without any promotion, then they fall and then re-climb. It seems to happen everytime Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Eminem, etc. release a song.

BTW. Isn't it doing pretty good considering this form of release is pretty new to the UK? I mean all other Britney singles have been released after being on radio for a month and having a video out?

To answer your question after everyone else rather rudely ignored it, Yes.

 

Usually in the UK there are a considerable number of weeks between first play and release [usually 6-8weeks] and Video airplay is a big factor over here as well.

 

If the video is as good as it's being hyped up to be, then this song will be this years Telephone. Not an amazing debut, perves about for a bit in the teens/20's then rockets to #1 when the video appears.

tbh I'm surprised that Britney has managed to enter the top #10 on the UK iTunes..

Why?! It's done so on every other country it's been released ... why wouldn't it do the same here? :P
