Although, I was thinking, I heard Tik Tok on Radio 1 back in August 2009, and look how that did! Plus, it was probably around for a while before I heard it for the first time anyway.

 

Then there's all those other songs. Like Telephone by Lady Gaga charted at #30 in December, but got to #1 in April or something. And Ridin' Solo by Jason Derulo was leaked on the Internet when Whatcha Say was popular.

 

At the end of the day, it's all about promotion.

 

Invincible by Tinie Tempah was played on Radio 1 in January 2010, yet it takes a whole 12 months for it to get released and go top 20. Look at Stereo Love. That's been around since 2009. It's 2011 now, and it's just getting popular in the US.

I'm actually starting to go off WRWWR, maybe because of all the looning :( I personally wouldn't like it to get to number 1 as it isn't her best imo

 

as for the other releases, hopefully C&S will get top 10, I haven't heard it yet, but it can't be that bad, its C&S :D it would be nice if Beady Eyed or The Vaccines can get top 30/20, although I wouldn't be surprised if they both drop out of the top 40 by sunday :(

I'm surprised to see Liam Gallagher's new band doing so well. I'd assumed that he had moved into the AOR territory, without singles chart success, so it's nice to see that. Also, glad to see the Vaccines doing so well. We need a few bands to spruce up the chart.

The Wombats are doing far better than I expected.
