Posted January 23, 201114 yr Has any artist recently achieved this feat? I thought Glee Cast might have but they didn't Vera Lynn had 3 songs in the very first chart, and then Prince Charles and the City Beat Band had two in the 76-100 part of the chart in their first week, but in this age of downloads and multiple songs being available at the same time, I wonder if anyone else has done it -- Richard
January 23, 201114 yr Perhaps when an artist releases an album without releasing any singles before it, and then two of the album tracks get cherry-picked enough to get top 200? It's probably happened, but I can't think of any... EDIT: Perhaps when an artist releases their first single, and then the B-Side sells enough to chart aswell? Again, can't think of any examples... EDIT: Did JLS do it with Beat Again and Umbrella? Edited January 23, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob
January 23, 201114 yr Ooh! Maybe someone from that TV show last year? Like Emma's Imagination, or Missing Andy, or Peppar & Piano, maybe? Did Louder by Katy B enter the chart the same week as Katy On a Mission? Also, didn't like the Intro from the When We Collide EP chart? So maybe Matt Cardle did it? January 23, 201114 yr Olly Murs' "This One's For The Girls" charted at #69 (I think) at the same week "Please Don't Let Me Go" went to #1. Still, technically he'd already charted with the X Factor Finalists 2009.
January 23, 201114 yr Pixie Lott charted with both Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) and Use Somebody in her first week
January 23, 201114 yr Susan Boyle I think? 'Wild Horses' and 'I Dreamed A Dream'. :unsure:Yup, charted at #9 and #37 on 29/11/09 with those two songs. Edited January 23, 201114 yr by Robbie
