Most of Norman Cook's remixes such as:

Groove Armada - I see you baby

Corner Shop - Brimful of asha

Wildchild - Renegade master

Missy Elliot - Gossip folks

Also:

Mansun - Wide Open Space (perfecto remix)

The Corrs - Dreams (Todd Terry)

Britney Spears - Toxic (Armand Van Helden Remix)

Tori Amos - Professional Widow (Armand Van Helden Remix)

Sneaker Pimps - Spin spin sugar (Armand Van Helden Remix)

Ultrabeat - Pretty green eyes (CJ Stone mix) Give this a listen! It actually sounds like a dance track.

Afrika Bambaataa - Just Get Up and Dance (I can never remember what the remix is called but it sounds like drums)

U2 - Beautiful Day (Perfecto Remix)

U2 - Real thing (pecfecto remix)

In the thread about the artists with the most weeks in the Irish singles chart, I posted this about the Sugababes:

The Sugababes have a fantastic discography!! I LOVE About You Now, Round Round (as IF that was back in 2002, it seems like yesterday!), Hole in the Head (I'm listening to it right now!), Get Sexy (i.e. Boom Boom Pow, Part II ), Red Dress and Wear My Kiss (there's a VERY good remix of this song I heard, I can't remember which though...).

Not such a fan of Pink's songs. Although it looks like Raise Your Glass will become her longest running song in the chart! :o Who would've thought! Just Like a Pill is my favourite from Pink. Again, 2002! :o

THAT'S IT!!!! Thank you!!

Missy Elliott - 4 my people (basement Jaxx Remix)

Jennifer Lopez - Walking on sunshine (Metro Remix)

P!nk - Who Knew (Bimbo Jones Remix)

Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow (Van She Remix)

Little Boots - Remedy (Wideboys Remix)

I agree with some here (Nneka 'Heartbeat', Usher 'More').

I also like the Neon Lights remix of 'Shadows' by Warpaint better (thanks, Radio 1!).

- Hadouken - Oxygen (Gemini Remix)

- Jessie J ft. B.o.B - Price Tag (Benny Page Remix)

And whatever version of Devlin's 'Runaway' did I just heard on The Hits Radio.

Oh shizz there's loads!

Lady GaGa - Poker Face (Dave Audé Radio Edit)

Rihanna - We Ride (Mantronix Radio Edit)

Madonna vs. David Guetta - Revolver (One Love Remix)

Example - Kickstarts (Wideboys Stadium Mix)

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Bittersweet (Freemasons Radio Edit)

Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow (Van She Remix)

Skepta - Rolex Sweep (Vandalism Remix)

Paloma Faith - Stone Cold Sober (Cicada Remix)

Utah Saints - Something Good '08 (Van She Tech Remix)

The Kills - Cheap And Cheerful (Fake Blood Remix)

That's all I can think of just now!

Jennifer Hudson - If This Isn't Love (Fraser T Smith remix) is one that immediately springs to mind as well as Nneka's Heartbeat and Kelly Rowland's Work. Cenzo Townshend's mix for Bat For Lashes is also amazing.

Faith Hill - The Way You Love Me (Infinity Edit)

Dannii Minogue - Disrememberance (Flexifingers Radio Edit)

Jennifer Lopez - Play (Sack International Remix)

I didn't even realise the freemasons remix of Work WASN'T the original... it's the only version I've ever heard
Kelly Clarkson - Never Again (Dave Audé remix). $h!ts all over the original.
For me, the main one that springs to mind is the Freemasons mix of Beyonce & Shakira's 'Beautiful Liar'. IMO the original was somewhat insipid.

Yep - even before I came into this thread I was going to post this.

Also, Missing from Everything But the Girl and World (The Price of Love) from New Order

Toni Braxton- unbreak My Heart, the original was very dull but this remix really helped it to become a big hit.

What? It was the "normal" version that charted...

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Mixed Up World (Groove Collision Remix) - SUCH an improvement it's unreal.

Madonna - What It Feels Like For A Girl (Above & Beyond Remix) - transforms a mediocre and uninspiring song into something truly sensational, and was also the version used for the video.

Pussycat Dolls Don't Cha - Ralphi Rosario vox edit.

Its a brilliant dance tune!!

My initial thoughts were Beyonce's Green Light and Kelly Rowland's Work. I'm not a big fan of remixes but the originals of those songs were dire in comparison. Also, the single version of Beyonce's Why Don't You Love Me? is AMAZING, and a smidgen better than the original I believe.

The album and video version was a ballad while the version played on Radio 1 was a remix by Frankie Knuckles. I'm not sure if the remix was available on either a CD single or cassette single but it was available on 12" vinyl which presumably accounted for a large number of sales of the single.
