The Black Eyed Peas & N-Dubz count as male as they have more male members. Edited December 10, 201113 yr by danielXF
February 8, 201114 yr I can see why the collaborations are listed under the highest credited artist, but isn't Black Eyed Peas more of a mixed group?

February 8, 201114 yr Author Oh, i see now :) What do you do with Glee, look at each song individually? Depends on who's singing it, RDMH seems to have more female vocals, but I never listened to it in full

February 8, 201114 yr Author I prefer the male chart, but I prefer the female #1's. Same, the male number ones are cr@p, 2 weeks at number one for Bruno is enough but 4 is :puke2:
February 8, 201114 yr Totally stole my idea :( (Well, technically britster's idea :kink:) EDIT: For the record I mean you stole the idea of posting the chart minus a certain portion of the entries (in my case it's all artists from outside the British Isles) Edited February 8, 201114 yr by ★BlindFaithBray★

February 8, 201114 yr I prefer the male chart, but I prefer the female #1's. I was going to say exactly the same thing. I think the male chart is better, with songs like Blind Faith, Wonderman, Coming Home, Who's That Chick? and Hello doing well, but the #1s are dire. I'd be depressed with those #1s. I like all the female #1s, apart from Do It Like a Dude, but even that is better than When We Collide and Grenade, and at least it's having a higher turnover, so far.

What next, the chart without those born between 12th January 1974 and 16th July 1981????

What next, the chart without those born between 12th January 1974 and 16th July 1981???? That would actually be quite interesting. Or like a chart with only artists over the age of 30? Becuase I've been noticing that the younger artists seem to be favoured by radio, TV, etc.

February 8, 201114 yr Looking through ChartStats, there was an "all-male" Top 10 on 5/6/10, with Alexandra Burke being the Female No 1. at #11! Could be a record? 1. Dizzee Rascal 2. BoB 3. Iyaz 4. Jason Derulo 5. Eminem 6. N Dubz 7. Edward Maya 8. Aggro Santos 9. Roll Deep 10. Sean Kingston

Sean Kingston Doubt it - back when the chart started in the 1950s the music industry in general was quite male-dominated (and even through the 60s and 70s this was still somewhat the case), so I'm sure there's been more than an all-male top 10 before. Don't have any specific instances in mind though, just that I'd be surprised if it didn't happen! Maybe a "modern" record, though... although remember there are still females there on #6, #7, #8 and #9 :P Edited February 8, 201114 yr by superbossanova

February 8, 201114 yr Found an all-male Top 11! (Pixie Lott with Broken Arrow #12) 23/10/10 1 Cee Lo Green 2 Bruno Mars 3 Duck Sauce 4 Swedish House Mafia 5 Tinie Tempah 6 Joe McElderry 7 Robbie Williams 8 Labrinth 9 Mike Posner 10 Usher 11 Travie McCoy I'm sure it's happened on other occasions, it's just that there's been so many big name females dominating the chart in recent years, to find two all-male top 10s (by this definition) within months of each other is pretty weird.
February 8, 201114 yr Just 3 weeks after that we had an all-female top 4: 1 2 2 Rihanna Only Girl (In The World) 2 1 2 Cheryl Cole Promise This 3 N 1 Alexis Jordan Happiness 4 6 3 Katy Perry Firework
