very happy JLS arent anywhere near top spot! :)

cant wait till all their fans go over to one direction as well, thats gona be hilarious :):)

Erm, what? They're probably going to peak about #6 when combined, which is exacly the same as their last post-album single (One Shot). One Direction will struggle to sell as many with their debut as JLS' second album if they're not being released close to Christmas. Sorry.

So you're saying that their fans will go to One Direction because they aren't getting a #1 single?

@Eric_Blob Who won 'Best Pop Collaboration'? :(

I don't remember exactly. It was some song called Imagine, I think, which featured like 10 people. I think I heard Pink mentioned in there? But, at any rate, it's apparently better than Airplanes, California Gurls and Telephone. :(

Wow, you seem to have a low opinion of JLS fans! :o

And I don't think their fans will "go over" to One Direction. Perhaps a few of them will, but many of them might not become fans of One Direction at all, and there's no reason why you can't be fans of both.

The important thing is the music tbh. I think Eyes Wide Shut is a great song, and deserves to be doing better than it currently is, imo.

Why are people even making comments such as "So happy their not #1" ? Very rarely do UK acts even manage to get Top 10 with their post album singles, so I think it's a big achievement especially considering the label left the release date so late in the first place and the album has sold 500k+

& I fail to see how JLS fans have moved/will move onto One Direction

If anything.. they may share fans, but they seem like they are two different types of groups to me

Clever Rihanna, she has released a version called 'S&M (Come On)' so it will come up for people thinking that is the orginal name. Up to #72 with that version already.

It's the same version. Just with the words 'Come On' in the title.

Jessie gaining on GaGa faster than I thought :o But I wonder how long for? Surely she's still slightly benefiting from the weekend effect/maybe number 1 news reports etc..

I know it's a long shot, but I'm seriously hoping Jessie can manage a third week!

The answer to 'for how long' seems to be 'not much longer'. The popbars posted at 5AM showed a 1.67x lead, which is *exactly* the same as her lead at the 9AM popbars and my own popbars which I viewed at 10.45AM.

JLS are a joke they will disappear from music scene sooner than westlife. . . hehehe mark my words. . .

And if she does it no one will be able to say that she scored it "by default". Basically three weeks of chart battles! I really hope for a 4-weeker from her, but it is *too* difficult - who knows though?

Why have JLS gone up loads?

#2 jesse j - Price tag

#3 Chipmunk - champion

#5 Bruno Mars - Grenade

#6 Chris Brown - Yeah 3X

#7 Jls - Eyes wide shut

#8 Rhianna - S&M

I love 6 songs in the top ten. WOW.

I doubt it, after the frontloaded sales are taken into account they will start slipping again. One Direction's first album will sell more than Outta this World without a doubt, and i wouldnt be suprised if it was released around the time of the American X Factor so alot more exposure, i can see a couple of singles before the album as well..people forget that Jls have only charted in Ireland and the UK lol

So you're saying that their fans will go to One Direction because they aren't getting a #1 single?

Nope im saying they will go because there will be something new on the block.

Because im ecstatic they wont get number 1 :yahoo:

Why do you think JLS brought Tinie Tempah on board to rap like 3 or 4 lines on EWS? Because they knew if they didnt they might not make top 10 cos fans might not buy a third single if they already had it on the album. The album verison of EWS only charted at number 10 cos of the exposure the Tinie Tempah version has had on the radio (I know for a fact that many people downloaded the album version thinking it was the single version)

You keep raving about the album and 500k sales but compared to other boybands and their second albums it has not done great regardless of what you say in its defense... in the UK alone Take That's second album sold over 1.8 million, Westlife's 2nd album sold around 1.5 million, Boyzone and Blue sold a million respectively to name but a few

This is the most truthful statement on this whole thread  :P

This week's Glee songs are doing really well so far. I think a few may reach the top 40! :)
I think Gaga will be number one, she has a nice lead.. people are saying that Jessie J will get a brits effect, yeah she will but Gaga will get the UK grammy full effect on wednesday.
And if she does it no one will be able to say that she scored it "by default". Basically three weeks of chart battles!

But Lady G is so far ahead, that's it's more of a rout, than a battle...

JLS & Tinie now #6

YM@6 #12, Rocketeer #14. Both of them seem to have stalled a bit. Rocketeer is one of those 'on air/on sale' songs right? I'm sure it has had no airplay at all. I don't think it'll peak this week. I'm very surprised F*EM are looking like escaping one hit wonder status :o

Popbars @ 4PM - Lady GaGa's lead *still* 1.67x. Guess she's stabilised there. I don't think Jessie J will get a *huge* Brits effect anyway, as she isn't performing. Whatever Grammy effect there is, Lady GaGa will get, as she performed 15mins into the ceremony which is 10.15PM on Wednesday, so more people will see it than if it was much later.

I've seen Rocketeer on music channels for quite a while and heard it on Kiss a few times, but I agree.. I don't think it will peak this week either
