I've decided I really can't stand this song and everything it stands for - you're a champion for getting through haters because you violently beat a woman?! I DON'T THINK SO SOMEHOW.

I agree!

My mum just pointed out the chorus to this song is similar to 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley. She actually has a point :o

Oh yes I can see the similarities :o

And both songs are epic

Why do I get the feeling this'll peak at #2? Three top 3 hits off a million-selling #1 album though, not bad Rihanna.
But it's not only tumbling in the UK... On Itunes it is 5 in Belgium and Sweden, 6 in Germany and Switzerland, 7 in Norway, 9 in France and Denmark, 10 in Luxembourg, out of the top10 in Austria, Portugal, Greece and Italia... It's not only happening in the UK.

It's actually in the US (& Canada) and Japan that she still holds the top spot. Everywhere else she is falling just like in the UK, and that's with very strong airplays everywhere.

On a more positive note, I'm sure the video will get her back in the top 3 in most countries so. :)

But that is normal in most countries I suppose, it happened with Britney, Gaga, and starting to happen now with Jlo. They just never reach AS high in the UK I s'pose, Gaga aside.

Q. How do make a ridiculously mediocre song into a top 10 smash hit?

A. Make the lyrics so controversial that everyone talks about how dangerous it is, making people buy the song in protest when it gets 'banned.'

S&M - Rihanna.

Really? Which songs, for example? ^_^

Why Rihanna has climbed? Due to video and airplay. Videos help promo of a song! You wanna tell me that GaGa is the only one who climbed to number 1 due to video release! people ain't deaf..they watch the video and if they like the song they go and buy it!

Well it might be true for new artists like Eamon, but S&M was always gonna be a hit, and not because of the lyrics, its an awesome track and fits right in with what's currently popular.

Wow at Rihanna, Album selling over 1million and she gets 2 number ones and a number 3... what's the next single going to be?

She seems to do alot better in the uk rather in the us!

Lol. Jessie J came on just as an advert for her album came on the tele. perfect time
I love the current UK top 2. Fantastic songs. Plus, both british.
Amazing top 5 this week actually, love each song but especially the top 2 . I think 'Price Tag' could reclaim #1 next week, especially with the album version floating around too.
