I liked Empire State of Mind II at first, but it wasn't fun hearing it on the radio every half an hour for 6 months. :( I might like it in a few years again though. :lol:

I actually really liked that time, but yes, I remember a lot of people here hating it.

 

This was when Nothin' On You, Ridin' Solo, Good Times, OMG, Candy, Leeds Leeds Leeds :puke:, Dirtee Disco, Solo, Not Afraid, We Dance On and Eenie Meanie were top 10!

 

I remember a lot of people whining a lot because there was an all-male top 10 on iTunes on a few occasions. :lol:

 

The charts were brilliant in July time, I thought. Like there were a couple of weeks where the top 4 was We No Speak Americano, Airplanes, California Gurls and Love the Way You Lie (well, LTWYL was top 4 most weeks in the summer :lol:). That's 4 genuinely massive hits at the top of the chart. We probably won't get that again in a long time tbh.

Early summer was a pretty bad time as well, Solo, Eenie Meenie, OMG, Shout For England, not to mention fecking Leeds Leeds Leeds beating Muse into the top 10! :arrr:

I think Adele will, and perhaps Jessie J. S&M definitely won't. Not sure about Gaga yet.

 

Hopefully there'll be some more massive hits over the year though. We don't have a clue what's coming. What we've had so far this year is okay (better than last year so far), but I really hope it gets better than this to be honest.

 

Also, has anybody heard!!?!? Apparently Christina Aguilera has just been arrested!! :o I guess she can go to Bruno Mars if she needs any help. :lol:

Price Tag will as well, S&M may do only thing stopping it probably is its off such a already huge album (even though Gaga Adele and Jessie will all have million-selling albums I predict - definitely Adele and Gaga anyway).

Adele I'm almost certain will sell over 700,000. Price Tag looks like it could do it. Born This Way I'm really not sure tbh. S&M will definitely not (well, it could, anything is possible in reality, but I'm like 99% sure it won't)!! It's a fabulous song, but I think it's already very obvious it won't sell 700,000+ (within the near future). Love the Way You Lie sold 850,000 last year, and had to stay in the top 10 for over 3 months to do that.

 

I also hope Who You Are can debut top 40 this week! It's a bit difficult to tell though, seeing as there's multiple versions. The rough guide I usually go by for album tracks is if they go top 20 on iTunes, they usually go top 40. I know this is a very abritrary, but the only time I can remember it not working was with Ridin' Solo. All the other album tracks that charted first week (Airplanes, Someone Like You, What's My Name?, Love the Way You Lie, Telephone, etc.) all went top 20 on iTunes, and all the ones that went top 40 on iTunes, but not top 20 (Wonderman, S&M, Coming Home, Invincible, Monster, Wait Your Turn, etc.) failed to chart top 40 officially.

 

I hope Who You Are can do it though. It might actually be selling pretty decently with all those versions of it. Plus, I think it's a quieter chart week for it, so fingers crossed! :)
