You say that and then follow it up with that paragraph? Right..

? I think Someone Like You will almost definitely sell 700,000. Price Tag maybe. Born This Way probably not. S&M almost certainly not.

That's reasonable, isn't it?

I think Someone Like You should make about 800k and Price Tag should make about 700k. Born This Way will make about 550k and S&M should make 400k.

So at least 3 out of 4 of those will, and S&M willprobably sell something like 400,000 at least i predict.

All huge singles at the end of the day. :D

Born This Way will sell somewhere near 700,000 i predict too.

no offense but how can you rate as "great" both Empire State of Mind and Blah Blah Blah?

Because I love both of them  The album version of Price Tag is up to 12, I see Lady Ga Ga is getting the video effect in climbing to 4, and Ellie's new single is back in the top 100 at 97. Go on, climb please  :).

Popbars with Adele merged

the lead is not as big as it was- I think the BRIT's version is losing ground

Gaga will have a bit of a way to go to catch Rihanna, it could be there a while

in the meantime, you can continue to live on cloud GaGa.

I'm not a GaGa obsessive... I just think it's amusing to see some posters here who have been denigrating Born This Way's success so far despite the fact it's pretty much unprecedented for a song to sell so much in this country within weeks of it first being heard; and the fact that some were screaming "Flop!!!!11" all over again when it didn't climb to #1 within 10 minutes of the video being released.

Admittedly, in my Telephone example, I hadn't taken into account sales of the Fame re-release... but, now that BTW has indeed started leaping up iTunes, it looks like it's all academic now anyway. :)

Britney holding on nicely at 34, despite album versions & new songs climbing above her etc... I hope she can get a steady rise back into the top 30 with the weekend effect and video play effect etc...

'Marry You' by Glee HAS to go top 40! :( It's amazing!

Using livepopbars.com, Jessie's top 3 versions are 66.5% of Adele's top 2 versions when combined - that's actually lower than the last time I did an update a few pages ago, so the album version of SLY seems to have a sufficient lead for her to easily be #1 again. Obviously Jessie is a bit closer then 66.5% when factoring in the other version in the top 200, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't increase it by much more than about 1% especially given Adele also has another version just outside the top 100.

Conclusion: Adele's lead is still about the same as it was most of last week.

Unrelated note, Glee are absolutely bombing this week:

47. Marry You (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

62. Just the Way You Are (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

83. Marry You (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

118. Just the Way You Are (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

They should still have one entry in the top 40 this week though as Singing In The Rain / Umbrella seems to somehow be hanging around. Could be the first Glee season 2 song to actually have a decent chart run (4+ weeks)? Teenage Dream looks like being the first to even get to 3 weeks this week, although only barely, it's currently #90 on iTunes.

Who You Are is really high :o They have to change the third single to that, they just have to.

More than enough for Adele to be virtually assured of a 3rd week at #1 though.

Beyond that, Jessie J's sales will be slipping down into the 50k region - too few for a (return to) #1 nowadays.

I don't think a song has ever dropped *that* much in the week of the album's release. It'll surely at least sell another 70k.

Dynamite would've returned to #1 on about 50,000 sales if it wasn't for the fact that Just the Way You Are was released early at the last minute.

But yeah, I think Price Tag's time at #1 is over now...

looks like Adele has it in the bag for this week, no contest whatsoever.

Maybe Adele will hold on for a 4th and 5th week

I meant *next* week. :)

Slightly bored of Adele now.. Black and Yellow for Number 1 next week please

Who You Are is amazing, but I don't really want it as the next single.. I prefer Nobody's Perfect & Who You Are can be 4th

Would love SLY to stay there for as long as possible :D

Do we think Price Tag could end up with 2 versions in the top 10?

Has there ever been 2 songs each with 2 different version in the top 10?

Yay! Alesha is in the top 100! :cheer:

You get that top 100 smash girl. :P

Really want ADELE to get 4 weeks at the top. We haven't had a 4 week number 1 since Lily Allen which is FAR too long a gap in my opinion. After that I am not too fussed.

Quite a few times, one recently was Rolling in the Deep.

'Marry you' by Bruno Mars is randomly at #57 :o Is this the next single or what ?!

Marry You was performed on Glee, and is rumoured to be 3rd single, but glee is the reason behind boost.
