She had a half an hour show on Viva earlier - I only caught the end but she was performing a "live" version of Let It Go. I think one of the problems with Let It Go is that it's not as sincere as her previous material... There are no lyrics that leave to the imagination of "And it's crushing me, there's no room to breathe..." or "If this is the end then please just make it fast"... I love Let It Go but the song sounds generic and the lyrics aren't groundbreaking and feel a bit limp (although the latter never stopped other songs from doing well)

Tonight stands a chance of going top 40 with a discount and continued TV promotion (including music video channels) I think.

Reduced to £4.99 on iTunes

Hope it helps, Cant see it doing much now tho if am honest, Its a shame. -_-

It's also only £5.37 on Amazon. Well, +1 sale from me!

What is sincere about-

'The Bad Boys are always catching my eyes'

'We can do it even better in broken heals'

'As Long as I see strobe lights, I'm dancing all night long'

'So tell the DJ, All Night Long'

'Hey Boy, I push it out'

You're being really pedantic and picking out the cheapest line from each song. What about The Silence?

I don't see how he's being pedantic whatsoever when he's picked out pretty much the most prominent lines of each song?! Haaa.

I think 3rd single will sell regardelss when its exposed on radio and tv because its out there to download straight away.

No 2 month pent up release!!

that imho was Alex's biggest problem!

by the time Let It Go was actually released It felt like the song had come and gone.

Alex's biggest problem was nobody playing the song, and no exposure whatsoever. I don't see how that will change for a third single, or even it being "helped" if it has to struggle from nowhere at the bottom of the iTunes top 1000.

I don't think we're getting a third single, it's obvious by now.

She got some exposure for 'Let It Go', she wasn't utterly snubbed. Top 20 peak on TV [quite a few weeks in the Top 25] & managed Top 80 on Radio [one month in the Top 100]. Obviously not great, but a bit of mild interest.

Not exactly a Nicola Roberts situation, with her first single not going Top 700(!) on radio.

Just showed up at £3.01 on my iTunes as I bought both the singles - Already have the physical but tempted to download it to give her an extra sale :kink: I have been listening to the album alot and really like it - Still dont quite understand how it flopped so hard!

Part of me wants her to release a 3rd single but part of me wants her to move on and concentrate on a killer comeback but I fear she's going to join Alesha Dixon as a bit of a Z-Lister/TV 'personality' joke if she carries on trying to flog the dead horse that is 'Heartbreak On hold'

i think "Oh La La" should be the next single.

Delta Goodrem's second album did similar to this here in the UK. It reached number 25 back in 2004 in the charts then dropped out the week later, people blamed the christmas rush, even though lead single Out of the Blue made top 10 its first week of release. The second single was her last in the Uk from that album and was the duet with Brian McFadden. (even though she has released her latest song as a single here, she hasn't promoted it so I'm not counting it as a UK single :P )

Back to Alex, there are only 4 options I think for 3rd and final single from this album: Fire, Between The Sheets (possible single mix for that one), Oh La La & Sitting on Top of the World.

Silver is 60,000?

Maybe one day if it's lucky it'll reach zinc...

LOL! It was most likely highly over-shipped to retailers so I don't think Silver will be a problem. Whether or not they bother with going for the certification though...

do you think the album will ever go sliver?

I don't think the album will even sell over 25,000 tbh.

I do feel really sorry for Alexandra, cos' I always loved her on her series of The X Factor - in fact I voted for her and JLS. I loved her first album and I always love watching her interviews cos' she's a sweet, funny lady, and she never seemed to come across as a diva to me. So maybe some of it is a perception thing (though where the idea of her being a diva emanated from I have no idea) but also I listened to the new album on Spotify the other week and nothing stuck out for me - no 'Bad Boys' or 'Broken Heels' style anthem.

Just a plodding rehash of the same jagged trance riffs/beats that could be sung by literally anybody else, there's no soul or emotion in it. And she's not just anybody else, we all knew what she was capable of on 'The X Factor' and on her first album and the team that have been behind her on this album are just lazy. I don't know what could possibly salvage her career now but I hope things turn around for her soon.
