She'd be a bit silly not too... unless she's gonna skip and go to Set Fire to the Rain.... that would be good too - number 1 for that with a day an a bits sales (I can dream :D)

I would perform Set Fire to the Rain if I were her. I mean, Someone Like You is already set to be a million-seller. I don't think there's many people left who don't know the song now.

 

I think she'll perform Someone Like You though, since it's what everybody wants to see...

Adele will/should perform SLY. She's only performed it ONCE on British TV since release of the album (aka excluding jools holland), and its been #1 for 4 weeks so ofcourse it'll be SLY. Cant wait for Set Fire To The Rain, so curious about the video! :D

Eric you say that, but there are many people who wouldnt have heard it, i find it strange how people havent, or how people are still buying old songs like JTWYR of IGAF etc some people out there havent heard some of the biggest songs, and some have but havent bought them, but then do buy them after they've seen it performed live, or heard it quite a lot, gets in their head.

Delighted for Nicole, Seems like Wanted could drop to around 4th before friday(Itunes), I expect Adele to go back to number 2 tonight, didin't expect this tbh.

 

Btw, The Saturdays - Higher is getting released in Germany next month, they'll be promoting there for a while... looks like there doing the same as Jessie J, should have did this much sooner though!

 

I think promoting in other countries always helps sales in UK... Look at Shakira - Waka Waka despite a horribile peak the sales and chart run was actually good.

 

Regarding Parade i think they will drop of soon, this song is alright but dosen't deserve a top #07 peak :|

 

What? promoting in other countries doesn't help sales in the UK, Shakira was different; it was the song of the World Cup.

 

Cheryl was promoting Fight For This Love during the end of January, February, March and April around Europe and it didn't do anything for FFTL at the time, and the chart positions she achieved in Europe were really good: 10 top 5 and 3 top 10.

Turn It Up Era is dead with sales of 788,000k Sales So It Should Reach 800k soon.

She performed Turn it Up on Children in Need when the Era was dead but still did that.

 

She's recording for her new album, and has penned many tracks with toby gad who worked with Pixie on (Broken Arrow) I really wish pixie would get somebody to write it (DR Luke). Her album was supposed to be released in America but i have not heard anything regarding that.. But Broken Arrow really did flop so i hope Pixie dosen't lose alot of her fanbase.

I think with the whols Shakira situation last summer, I think people are forgetting that the song was unspeakebly MASSIVE in some other countries. And since it was summer, a lot of people in the UK were in those other countries, and then buying the song upon their return to the UK, hence keeping it in the lower end of the top 40 for ages.

 

If you went on holiday to Spain, for example, you would've heard the song everywhere, non-stop. It could've become your "holiday song" for that year. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would've bought the song because they went on holiday to different countries in Europe, basically. The song wasn't getting very much airplay, and was still selling ages after the world cup finished, so I think that has to be part of the explanation.

 

Pixie needs more songs like Boys and Girls imo. Turn It Up, Gravity and Coming Home are fantastic too. If Pixie Lott got Dr. Luke to make some songs for her, to help break the US, there is a danger she might end up with a load of Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Ke$ha leftovers. I'm pretty sure those three will get all the best songs from him.

Coming Home (Pixie & JasonDerulo) Actually outsold Can't Make This Over. It's also not dropped out of the top 1000, but was not made a single because of label problems, Coming Home was intended to be a christmas single and with no promotion has over 15k downloads i'm led to believe.

 

I'm worried, pixie was meant to release in America in Feburary but no luck, she will break America imo depending on promotion but she's on interscope (Black Eyes Peas, Lady Gaga's Label) So i'm sure she will do fine.

That's really impressive tbh! I remember seeing it in the top 40 on iTunes too. A bit depressing if a single gets outsold by an album track though! :lol: It's a bit like how Game Over outsold Second Chance!

Game Over wasn't a single though. Second Chance was released as the 2nd single 2 weeks before Game Over was put up for download. Then Let it Rain was the 3rd single.

 

A similar thing is happening with Adele too. She's also got an album track out-selling a single, although we still don't know if Someone Like You is the next single or not. I really hope it isn't. It doesn't need it.

No, I don't think any of his singles from the 2nd album have sold 100,000. I think from his first album, Number 1 must've sold over 500,000, Never Leave You probably around 300,000, Take Me Back around 200,000, and You're Not Alone probably around 100,000?

 

Roll Deep have done really well, although their 3rd single barely sold anything. I think it had it's one week in the top 40 the same week that Second Chance did (and that was the week with the Nicki Minaj/The Saturdays chart battle for top 10).

 

Nicki's album is great! :D I wish it did better here though. I read somewhere that it's the best-selling album of the year in the US so far! :o So it's like the US equivalent of Adele's album in the UK. :lol: Although I doubt it's as huge there, and Adele's album has probably out-sold it there since anyway. :lol:
