Adele's on her second album anyway. Even if her career was to end right now, she'll have still done absolutely fantastically.

just noticed Adele is climbing AGAIN with Make You Feel My Love  although it was used on Comic Relief so I guess that explains it

The track is been used on BBC1 to advertise the second series of So You Think You Can Dance which starts this Saturday on BBC1

Who knows what will happen in the future? As for Duffy, she had potential to do so well.. but she came back with such mediorce rubbish as a comeback it was no wonder she flopped.

Where in my post did I claim she 'is the most amazing talent ever'. She has a fantastic voice and is bringing out fantastic material. She doesn't need to get her clothes off, she doesn't need to wear wacky costumes or be controversial to sell records. The only thing she needs is her one powerful tool- her voice. I'm just so happy that a genuinlly talented person is doing so well in the charts.

Sorry - didn't mean you in particular, just people's attitude towards Adele and her 'amazing voice' in general. I dunno, I just think 'Someone Like You' is a good pop ballad - nothing more, nothing less and whilst it deserved #01 - I don't think it quite deserved the success it has gotten. There's so much better out there right now imo. It's actually a little plain, which can be nice, but get very boring quickly - much like 'Make You Feel My Love' did. I much prefer 'Rolling In The Deep' and some of her earlier material.

To be honest, I'm just weird - I hate it when people get far too much hype. It put me off Lady GaGa too! :(

I'm sort of with Jack. Right now, I couldn't care less as to whether I heard SLY or RITD again. Radio and over exposure (perform something else for a change Adele!) have truly killed them both for me. (although I never got the fuss with RITD in the first place :puke:)

'Set Fire to the Rain' is (at least for now as radio will more than likely put me off it once it gets a release - hope I'm wrong though) now my favourite from the album. It has a much better vibe about it. Like Jack, as nice as SLY was/is, it did get boring pretty quickly because of how simple it was.

Anyway! Huge :w00t: for Glee! They have entered much higher than I thought they would! :o They don't usually enter that high! Hopefully their first Top 20 for them, this season! :D

if young Dele goes back to #1 will she be the longest number one since Leona Lewis Bleeding Love?
I think (and hope) Cee-lo Green will creep in this week with Bright Lights Bigger City. It's an absolute tune imo and different to Forget You and It's Okay. Prefer the album version though, to the one with that featured artist.

Katy Perry 'I Kissed A Girl' I believe...

I'm the same. I like Someone Like You, but overexposure has killed the song for me. & I really don't understand how it has managed to stay Number 1 for so many weeks. Rolling In The Deep on the other hand = Much better song imo

I was put off Born This Way before I'd even heard it with the amount of hype the song received

I have Adele's album but I haven't really listened to it. I find her so boring now, even though I liked her songs originally. She has been over exposed, don't get me wrong I love the songs themselves, but I need to not hear her for a while :(.

With the comments above to be fair to Adele its hardly over exposure on her part as she has been quite lowkey with the TV shows she has appeared on [she could have been on at least 10 more TV shows!] its as always Radio that have jumped all over her songs and given her the over exposure - They done the same with Leona, Duffy, Take That and now to an extent with Jessie J.
I'm not sick of Adele. Quite the countary- I'm pleased that genuine talent is being recongised.

And she deserves all the hype she gets, because quite frankly she is amazing.

Didn't 'Life For Rent' by Dido get 10 weeks at the top in 2003? And 'Jagged Little Pill' come to think of it.

I suppose they mean consecutive weeks, but they haven't worded it very well.

'Life For Rent' 10 wks but 4 seperate turns at #1

'Jagged Little Pill' 11 wks - 3 turns #1

LOL at SuGer top 10, didn't see that coming, could have been some stocking problem with the physical, as the track is hardly setting iTunes alight.

Adele really is unstoppable holding the Top 2 albums despite some strong new releases

Yeah I had a feeling Cee Lo would creep in too, and it has! I gotta agree, it IS an absolute CHOOOOON! :D
