I think I'll go with the Crazy Frog myself. I think I can remember close to all of these, I think it's just MVP - 'Rock Ya Body' that I have absouletly no memory of.

 

Not the best of lists though is it? The top 10 in particular is probably the worst we've done so far.

Akon - Lonely :puke: - but Crazy Frog going first is also a good result. Wow, so much crap here looking back. I count a grand total of 15 songs I actually like rather than songs I'd listen to if I had to out of no choice of my own. Hopefully the garbage will go first rather than the popular/overkilled songs that were liked in 2005 but hated now. :drama:

 

There is a distinct lack of 'Shiver' by Natalie Imbruglia in this list too. :(

I really like this list! But it's not very Buzzjack-friendly at all! :lol: There's only a few songs I don't like on here, however. But there's like 10 songs on the list that I can imagine people here really hating (the whole of the top 5, Akon, Westlife, 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul, 50 Cent, My Humps).

 

And this is the first round where my favourite in the final didn't win. :( Maneater is still fantastic though, and 2nd place is better than I was expecting for Hips Don't Lie! :D

First of all, I think this is a really good year. Easily the best so far - in 2006 and 2007 I liked very little. 2008 was probably the best before now, but this just about pips it for me based on numbers of songs I like in the top 40. In terms of variety it could be better (quite urban-heavy) but the quality of urban songs here is quite high IMO. I mean, Ghetto Gospel, Signs, We Belong Together, Gold Digger, Don't Cha, Don't Phunk With My Heart, 1 Thing are REALLY good. I wish we had urban songs of that quality in the top 10 at the moment to be honest :(

 

Second of all, I hope Amarillo doesn't go stupidly early. It really isn't that bad. I mean, it's nowhere near as good as the follow-up (the fantastic Avenues & Alleyways, which I bought on CD single at the time) but no way is it anywhere near the worst. I think people give these kind of records a hard time and kind of vote for them by default, really. Based on charity single standards, Amarillo is actually great, IMO.

 

I also hope JCB Song does much better here than it did in 2006. I'd like it to become the Chasing Cars of this year to be honest. The fact that it went out third in 2006 is still ridiculous to me. Hopefully people have more sense this time :)

 

Anyway, after that pointless waffling, I voted for Candy Shop :lol:

yes, Amarillo is my favourite charity song- admittedly, the video was one of the best things about it- but I thought the whole thing was inspired :D

2005, like 2003 and 2004 was one of those years where the majority of music that I liked wasn't doing very well in the charts, or was completely unknown in the UK. This list is largely dreadful. But I voted for Crazy Frog. That said, there are some of my all time favourites in here - You're Beautiful (yes, really!), Bad Day, Since You Been Gone, We Belong Together and Hung Up. I'd easily rank the latter four in my top 100 favourite songs ever :wub:
