Hope britney stays top 5 by sunday :(
I'd expect her sales today to be around the 15k level, on the basis of a rough estimate of her sales distribution for the week:-

Sun	40k

Mon 25k

Tue 20k

Wed 15k

Thu 15k

Fri 20k

Sat 25k

Total 160k

Yabadabadoo! It would be amazing if she manages to sell so much in her first week.

Good to see the 'Geraldine McQueen' song still Top 40! It makes me laugh that an X-Factor p!sstake act has now had more hit singles/success than Leon Jackson and Steve Brookstein

Hope britney stays top 5 by sunday :(

I really think it will be at #7 or #8 by Sunday  Amazing album - She needs to start promoting here again because clearly the album is going to drop like a brick in the coming weeks

I'm glad Britney is even in the Top 10. I can't see her coming over here anytime soon to promote, what shows are there? Absolutely nothing. Amazing album though, well worth the £10.

 i know it would be amazing if she did sell 160k :D

I think Mary Byrne will gain sales friday and especially saturday and push britney out of the top 5, il prob get slated for saying this but i hope britney misses the top 5.

Britney hater detected. :(

I hope LMFAO is at number 2 on sunday.

I hope to see Look At Me Now in today's update. It's been top 40 the entire week on iTunes, so it really can't be far off.

At the end of the day Britney is one of the most untalented artists EVER. ( So I understand why people hate her)

Femme Fatale is a decent album though..I've had it on repeat all the this week and its HIT after HIT.

Hope it stays top 5.

21 set to lose album crown

A week after losing her US market album crown, Adele’s sophomore set, ‘21’ (XL), looks like it will follow suit in the UK market as a surge of Mother’s Day gift buying has resulted in substantial changes to the midweek albums chart, OCC sales flashes are showing.

Initially looking set to break the 21st Century record for most consecutive weeks at the top of the albums chart, it looks likely that – in a bizarre twist of fate – the album that will knock her off the top spot this Sunday is her original debut from 2008 - and ‘21’s predecessor - ‘19’. The album has garnered pace throughout midweek sales flashes, and now sits a comfortable 7,000 copies ahead of ‘21’.

An unlikely challenger for the top spot comes in the shape of Ronan Keating & Burt Bacharach’s ‘When Ronan Met Burt’ (Polydor). The set – released last week and debuting at 5 in Sunday’s official chart update – is also benefiting from the Mother’s Day market, surging from a midweek position of eight to now sit in second spot, some 5,000 copies behind ‘19’.

Meanwhile, Femme Fatale (Jive), Britney Spears first album in 3 years looks unlikely to match Circus’ peak position of number 4, having dropped from a high of 3 in early sales flashes to now sit at 9 for the week and is now looking unlikely to sustain a top 10 debut.

On the singles chart, Jennifer Lopez’s new track featuring Pitbull (Mercury) is continuing to rack up sales and now looks certain to overtake Bruno Mars’ Grenade as the biggest first week sales tally, having sold some 125,000 copies to date. LMFAO / Lauren Bennett / GoonRock (Interscope), and Katy B (Columbia), should also comfortably sit in the top 10.

I definitely agree with you, this album is to good for low positions. But maybe they decide to do some promo next week and album could have nice longevity and decent sales it's all on their decision.

Yeah hopefully, though it is frustrating that she doesn't come here to do some promo

Is that an April Fool?? I just can't believe it.
Theres no way Britney has dropped to 9 and Adele overtaking herself! April Fool seems likely!

Well its taken from the MW site, so maybe they're playing an April Fool?

I find it odd too, maybe there is missing sales data.

hope its an april fools

britney down to #9 would be horrible :(

dont know...its kinda what i expected. Mothers day was always gonna force britney down, i woulda expected her to be very front loaded. So the big chances are ronan up, which i expected, britney down, also expected but the adele swap over i didnt, but you never know
