Think "Bad Romance" but a bit of a better song structure. This is sort of track that because it's by Lady GaGa it will be a huge success, if it had someone else's name on it would possibly sink without trace. The tons of vocal effects drown the singing. I'd like to hear how well she can really sing.

 

She can sing really well, in real life. I don't mind vocal effects in songs. Infact, I approve of them. If an artist feels that a vocal effect will make the song better, they should always use it.

 

I agree with you though. I don't like Judas, but I think it's better than Bad Romance, albeit very similar to it.

 

 

I love the 'Judas' Single. Much better than 'Born This Way', which I

Yeah, definitely. :lol: But I wouldn't have any of her songs on my mp3 player (well, I have the instrumental to Alejandro on there at the moment, and a mash-up of OMG and Telephone, but that's it). Her music videos and constumes don't make the songs any better tbh.

Even Rihanna's music is more 'ordinary' than GaGa's - GaGa is original and 'weird' in a good way, even if Judas sounds like Bad Romance which it does it is still original. When was the last time a pop star sang about religion etc. must have been a long time ago

Britney, Ke$ha, Katy Perry and Rihanna are definitely NOT more ordinary than Lady Gaga. Well, Britney, maybe, but certainly not the other three.

You're right. Ke$ha, Katy Perry and Britney Spears all share the same producers, to a large extent, so they do end up with similar songs (e.g. Tik Tok vs. California Gurls, Hold it Against Me vs. Take It Off, Blow vs. Till the World Ends, etc.). Rihanna uses different producers to the others more, but she still has songs that sound like other songs (e.g. S&M vs. Sexy Chick).

 

The closest I've heard to a Lady Gaga instrumental on another artist is probably Poison by Nicole Scherzinger and Mirrors by Natalia Kills.

 

All that said though, Lady Gaga instrumentals do sound a lot like some older songs. Most notably Alejandro, Paparazzi, Bad Romance and Dance in the Dark.

 

But I think the main difference here is that you've got a lot of Lady Gaga's songs sounding similar to her other own songs, which with the other artists, you've got their songs sounding similar to songs by different artists. Like Blah Blah Blah vs. Your Love is My Drug, S&M vs. California King Bed, Firework vs. E.T.. They're all considerably different, whilst I can't really say the same if I look at Paparazzi vs. Bad Romance, for example.
