Posted April 11, 201115 yr Foos fighting for Adele's crown 11:36 | Tuesday April 12, 2011 By Paul Williams Source: MW Singles Meanwhile, Def Jam/Mercury’s Jennifer Lopez has a battle on her hands to hold onto her singles chart crown for a third week with her Pitbull-featured On The Floor currently in second spot, around 2,500 sales behind the Interscope/Polydor-issued Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO/Lauren Bennett/Goonrock. Sales of Virgin’s ET by Katy Perry featuring Kanye West are 31% up on the week to move it up from fifth to third place, while Capitol/Parlophone’s Snoop Dogg single Sweat is enjoying a 62% boost in sales to place it currently in sixth position. It was ninth on last Sunday’s chart. The RCA single Beautiful People by Chris Brown featuring Benny Benassi is experiencing an even bigger weekly sales boost, almost quadrupling its sales to move from 20th to a present ranking of eighth place. 14th Floor/Warner Bros act The Wombats claim the highest debut at this point in the week with Anti-D showing up in 33rd position. Albums Foo Fighters are poised to break Adele’s 11-week hold at the top of the UK artist albums chart with their new record Wasting Light heading straight to number one. The Columbia-handled album has opened a lead of around 23,000 units over XL’s Adele album 21, according to OCC figures, with Epic’s newly-released Glee Cast album, Glee – The Music – Volume , a further 19,000 sales behind in third place. The Adele release last Sunday achieved the longest consecutive run at number one since Bob Marley & The Wailers’ Legend in 1984. Adele’s first album 19 is the fourth best seller in the week so far with Rinse Recordings/Columbia’s first Katy B album On A Mission placed fifth in its second week of release. Alison Krauss looks on course to achieve her first-ever UK Top 10 album outside her Raising Sand collaboration with Robert Plant with her new album Paper Airplane, recorded with Union Station, the seventh biggest album at this stage of the week. Because Music act, Metronomy, leads a clutch of new albums lower down with The English Riviera, just ahead of Interscope/Polydor’s new TV On The Radio release Nine Types Of Light. They are ranked 16th and 17th respectively, while other new arrivals to this coming Sunday’s chart will include Sub Pop’s Low, a new Bob Dylan live album from Sony, Mercury’s Rush, Paw Tracks’ Panda Bear and a return via Universal for Robbie Robertson. Over on compilations EMI and UMTV’s new Now album, Now That’s What I Call Music 78, is off to a flying start with its 66,441 sales 17 times as big as the week’s second-biggest various artists album, AATW/EMI TV and UMTV’s Ultimate Floorfillers. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 40 Only Singles 1 LMFAO ft. [02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute. [03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away. [04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard. [05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude. [06] Do not use Text Talk. [07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision. [08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see. [09] Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures. [10] Regarding chart postions when posted when you see a sum/substraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or substraction. Go Figure.
April 12, 201115 yr Foo Fighters for album No1, I hope. That's for sure and It's a great album but I want Adele at number 1 until Gaga...
April 12, 201115 yr Will be interesting to see if Foo Fighters get #1, hopefully we'll be provided with some sales to see what the gap is between them and Adele.
April 12, 201115 yr I think it'll be LMFAO/Foos, but I'm hoping Katy P/J-Lo can miraculously steal LMFAO's crown (yeah right) and Adele holds on till Gaga (at the end of the day she's done fantastically and broken tons of records, but I LOVE the album and want it to break more!!!
April 12, 201115 yr If foos do knock Adele off, i'm glad it was the foos of all bands, great band. Adele has been #1 for 11 weeks already and nearly sold 2million in a matter of months so anything now is just an added bonus. No doubt we'll see it back at #1, with 3rd single, big promotion, surely a BGT and X Factor performance, xmas sales and big wins at brit awards next year i'd assume, a deluxe may be needed  Edited April 12, 201115 yr by Karma
April 12, 201115 yr I predict: #1 LMFAO #2 JLO #3 Katy Perry #4 BEP #5 Adele or Mann #1 Adele #2 Foo Fighters #3 Adele #4 Glee #5 Rihanna or Katy B Edited April 12, 201115 yr by bbbnbbb
April 12, 201115 yr Hope Foos are #1, good album even if it's not quite living up to my expectations just yet.
April 12, 201115 yr I'd like a new no1 album. :) I love Adele but a wee week off might do her good :P
