Ten is a fabulous pop album, but I do feel the style of LTBL suits her a lot more. I hoping for an edgier take on LTBL with a beautiful ballad a la Defender plus a couple of electropop tracks a la On A Mission and Hearts Don't Lie thrown in too!
'Hearts Don't Lie' is vile. The weakest point on 'Ten' for me. (Other than that every track gets at least a 7 out of 10. Brilliant album!) God knows why it was chosen over 'What If You Knew'/'Love Me Cos You Want To'/'Robots'/'Boys'/'Glue' any of them would have been a far superior second single and would have led in for a better position/chart performance for 'Defender'. (All imo obviously)

She posted this new song onto her YouTube account last week:

It's completely different to the majority of Ten - I'm not sure if I like this direction yet, but it's so good to hear her vocals again, that I'm not that fussed on the material, yet!

I rather like it, I do hope that it's not an acoustic when it appears on the album though as that has some serious potential to be outstanding.
Love Gabriella, been a fan since 'Sweet About Me' days...this sounds like it'll be another amazing album!
The new song is more like the material from her first album but the song is somewhat bland.
Rather like it, its not disastrous like I was fearing, she's keeping it rather simple, but I don't think this'll be boring either. Interesting direction, if that represents the album, I prefer her Ten-style, but this could be good.

Gabriella Cilmi has partnered with Absolute Marketing & Distribution for the independent release of her third album The Sting on October 28.

The Australian-Italian singer-songwriter, whose 2008 single Sweet About Me became an international hit, was previously signed to Island Records. Her new album will be released on her own UK-based imprint Sweetness Tunes and will be preceded by the title track on September 2.

Taken from the ManicKangaroo in the new release schedule. I really hope the album's nothing like "Sweeter In History", but with it being self-released then I imagine it will be much less pop than Ten :(

I really hope there's another couple of tracks on the album like Sweeter in History; beautiful.
Sweeter In History was very good, but a whole album like that wouldn't be too great for me after how great Ten was :(

I guess that explains how she's on a third album then. :(

I guess this is going to be nice and left field then. From what I can see she is no longer associated with Crown Music Management so at least there is a silver lining to this.

All we know that it will be so difficult to release a massive song like "Sweet About Me". The new one is listenable and her vocals sounds good but i don't see it as hit. It will struggle to have a Top 75 position in U.k.

I hope there's still the handwritten lyric sheet available when I get paid in two weeks. Would love to get Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now
I find lyric sheets a little too expensive. They shouldn't cost more than the album itself, really.

(Album pushed to Nov 4 btw)
