LMFAO will be #1 as long as the weather stays good - it sounds so good played loud with the sun shining!

Come on Wynter! Get that shock #1 with no airplay or support

Blue aren't even top 200 on pre-orders so they won't be a threat to even the top 20 next week probably...where they go over the following couple of weeks depends on how they do in Eurovision I suppose. It would be bizarre for something like LMFAO to get a 5 week stretch at the top though, I'm sure something will pop up out of nowhere to stop it...maybe Amaury Vassili with Sognu :o I think there's more life in Judas, Run The World (Girls) and Till The World Ends too, depending on what happens with video releases/remix releases...

 Sorry butt that won't happen in a million years. Blue is MUCH more likely a #1, but not very. Eric Saade I could see at #1 if he wins (hope not).

I will die happy if Wynter gets even top 40  Absolutely LOVE Dirty Talk, and it was an Aussie number 1 for 4/5 weeks :o With promo/airplay I reckon it could've easily done the same here! And I can imagine if Beyonce/Gaga don't get stopping PRA, it's sales will go pretty low to like 50/60k - I can't see it continuing on 80/90k for weeks to come! The video of Run The World looks epic though, I think it's certainly a future no.1 if it doesn't fall too fast before it premieres. And if Gaga's video is suitably epic to match the fantastic song (which I'm confident it will be :D), she's not out of the picture. I Can will have a decent debut next week I reckon but when it finishes top 3 (which I'm sure it will) it will climb! There are few other ESC songs (especially Stella Mwangi's Haba Haba) that could easily do very well too, but as they're Eurovision they won't :( We can't rule out a moderate hit at least for the winner though, Alexander Rybak went top 10 and Lena probably could've done too if the release wasn't f***ed up :( Songu will never be a UK number 1  I think it's so overrated :( Though I know Rich was joking

I'm hoping Chris & Benny will overtake LMFAO before its weekly sales get *too* low.

It's not even on iTunes, so he'd have a job. It would be Lenagate all over again (i.e. becoming available midweek when momentum's died) although I guess in that case you'd be happy with him not being able to have a hit

Is the ESC album not released?

How high do the highest Eurovision songs get each year?

It depends. Lena's Satellite was the highest last year, it peaked at like 19ish on iTunes and 30 on the official chart. Alexander Rybak got top 10 with Fairytale as well. Hopefully Popular and Haba Haba do well plus I Can!

Is the ESC album not released?

Some tracks are "album only". Eric Saade *might* come out as a single track because apparently it's being shown on Chart Show TV..

Is the ESC album not released?

Yep, but a few tracks are 'album only' including Blue - hence it not charting from cherry picks - and most of the favourites! A lot of them are available as 'singles' on iTunes but there are still 5 songs not available - Sweden is one of them and the song would likely perform well on iTunes, regardless of whether it wins or not. Sweden's answer to Justin Bieber?

It's the same guy that read out Sweden's points last year and was trending on Twitter as 'hot Swedish Eurovision guy' or something for a while

^ Yeah I actually caught the end of Popular just now (the VERY end where the little box with the track in came up). But Tone Damli was shown (quite a bit :o) on a few cheap music channels plus raped by Radio 2, and she only scraped a top 300 smash :(

It varies. The winner typically charts the highest recently rather than the UK entry.

The Eurovision songs that went top 100 the past two years

2009

#10 Alexander Rybak - Fairytale (Norway) [winner]

#27 Jade Ewen - It's My Time (UK)

#49 Yohanna - Is It True? (Iceland)

#85 Alex Swings Oscar Sings! - Miss Kiss Kiss Bang (Germany)

#100 Waldo's People - Lose Control (Finland)

IIRC Waldo's People came last in the actual contest and didn't even get any points from the UK so winner aside it's totally random which ones chart

2010

#30 Lena - Satellite (Germany) [winner]*

#81 Jessy Matador - Allez Ola Olé (France)

#85 Tom Dice - Me And My Guitar (Belgium)

*Wasn't available on iTunes for about a day IIRC? So all the hype for it was gone by the time it was released and it charted lowly

Giorgos Alkaios & Friends (Greece), Hero Björk (Iceland) and maNga (Turkey) also went top 100 on iTunes I think, but didn't chart officially.

Really :o Seems odd for a non-UK entry to be shown on the TV at all pre-contest! Shame I can't get Chart Show TV on Freeview :(

Lena's release was left until Monday :( I reckon it could've gone top 10 tbh if it had already been available the Monday before the contest so it could climb a bit before the contest then people could readily download it straight after the show on the Saturday! Iirc, Miley's Can't Be Tamed release was left until Monday that week too so she missed top 10 AGAIN :( Two amazing songs missing top 10 in one week when they easily could've got it if they were handled rightly :(

Where can you find the top 200 pre-orders? I can see a pre-orders page on iTunes but it only has albums.

Yep, it is, someone I know from the Retro Bar parties has connections there, and he has a schlager-loving friend that managed it to get onto the playlist. I think Haba Haba and Rockefeller Street would be big hits if they did well in the contest, and worryingly I can see Jedward's song charting after the contest too...

Go to the album chart on iTunes (doesn't show up on the feed) and pre-order EPs/singles are there as well as pre-order albums (and available EPs/albums). For example Nero's Guilt EP was #57 there yesterday.

I meant it's not showing up in the top 200 albums as the most popular pre-order EP's tend to.
