To be honest, it was definitely radio (mainly Heart FM, I think Make You Feel My Love is their most played song) that gave it such a consistent chart run.

Make You Feel My Love, the first ever Adele song I downloaded, only because my mum absolutely loves it and was saying how beautiful the song was, so I had to get her a copy, no wonder Adele is doing amazing in the charts, she's got that star quality what makes people go wow and want to buy her records.

I honestly don't think FC will be another MYFML. The original MYFML only peaked at #26 or something, so for many people, it was a new song they had never heard. FC was a massive hit back when it was orginally released, meaning lots more people know it, but as what always happens when they get performed on BGT or something, people have forgotten about it and download it again, not that it is a new song.

Fast Car has been an incredibly well-known song. I've been hearing it regularly my entire life, and I suspect everybody else has too, so it's not going to be new to that many people.

Yes. A play on the radio has never put a song into the top 10 on iTunes, as far as I know. :lol:

 

Also, radio would never have played it (to the extent it has) without the TV promotion anyway.
