The video is nice enough. She doesn't look very happy throughout though - tis offputting almost. She's always so awkward!

I agree, the confidence just isn't there. The song is certainly different but I like it, no idea how well it'll do chart wise though..

Her outfits are just Bizarre so I love it! Also, I'm loving her new teeth and her hair colour is just stunning.

Infact the song is rather Bizarre, she has a drum? Hey each to their own and the song is rather fabulicious. Can't wait for Sunday!

I don't think she looks awkward, yeah at the beginning she does but that is obviously the point to match the lyrics. She looks fierce and fun towards the end, and dancing really well. Yeah you can tell its cheap but they did well with what they could. And she really looks AMAZING. I'm sorry but she is not Ugly at all!

This song is brilliant too, I'm so addicted.

It's a play on the phrase "march / dance to the beat of your own drum"

People keep saying the video is cheap, well of course it is. Her label don't wanna splash a load of dosh on her just now. She could flop all together and lose them money.

Even the billions of pounds of profits from Tesco couldn't deliver much of a video for poor Nadine!

Am I the only one who thinks the chorus sounds very Ting Ting ish?

It does! I thought the song sounds a bit like a cross between The Ting Tings (pick any of their singles) and another song (I think it's by Justice?...possibly called Dance?)

Quite an interesting song, I prefer it to Girls which is a bit messy. :/

Yes! That's the one...is it by Justice then? :P

Yeah that's what it reminds me of too

I find the fact that she is insecure rather endearing actually; I love the fact that such an unassuming background member of a girl band has come out with such great left-field electronic music, I think the surprise of it makes the whole thing even better.
I absolutely love this, and somehow, it's still growing on me!
I never tire of the dance routine for the L O V E !
Eugh it pains me to say how brilliant this is. It's better than anything Girls Aloud/Cherly Cole/Nadine "____" have ever released.
Off to a brilliant start on iTunes - number 34 already :w00t:

Really hope it goes at least Top 20 officially.

btw Porcelain Heart is just EPIC, she sounds amazing!

I love the awkwardness of Nicola. She is so not your typical pop star. The forgotten one from Girls aloud.

I think she will do well. She won't flop. But you won't see her at the top of the charts churning out a triple platinum album followed by several silver certified singles. Electronic music isn't hugely successful but the likes of Goldfrapp have built a long lasting career with a tight fan base.

Beat of my Drum in full quality is immense, and I like the instrumental too :) I just listened to Porcelain Heart for the first time and that big note at the beginning of the final chorus is incredible :D I love the whole song, I'd be very surprised if it didn't make the album.
