That would mean Adele and Birdy top 2, which is probably less varied than our current top 2 tbh. :kink:

It would be cool though. All of the Lights, I Need a Dollar and Bright Lights, Bigger City would be in the top 10, like they deserved. And Beyonce would still be in there. :D

No, No, NO!!

Please not David Guetta #1. The man is a one-trick pony ditto with that Bruno Mars.

Considering there are some strong releases this week such as Blue, The Feeling which actually have a tune and melody to them and sound individual, people just want to buy the same generic track by number these artists always produce.

One positive - Alexandra Stan is moving up the charts :)

It's sad to see that David Guetta is at number 3 because he's David Guetta yet people like Wynter Gordon, Alexandra Stan <I love her song, Nero (they were frontloaded) and others are finding it hard to climb the charts (even popular people like GaGa and Beyonce). The new Guetta song is disapointing, it sounds REALLY samey yet I'll probably grow to like it (because he's David Guetta)

I'm quite disappointed too. It does sound so much like Sexy Chick, and in this case it ACTUALLY DOES sound like Sexy Chick. Usually with David Guetta songs, people always say they sound like Sexy Chick, when really they don't, but this one actually does for a change, so it's a bit :nocheer:.

But I'd prefer it to be #1 over LMFAO (sorry ) and Bruno Mars.

In what way is Bruno Mars a 'one-trick pony'? TLS is very different to his previous 2 songs.

Yeah, Guetta really has been lazy this year, WTGA uses exactly the same beat as SC and Sweat takes a big sample from this song on youtube (0.45 onwards). Last year he made 'Gettin Over You' which sounded a lot like I Gotta Feeling, but it had bits of originality (and it also had LMFAO :kink:)

I really hope David gets better, right now I prefer LMFAO and Alexandra Stan's new songs because they're more original and don't use the same beat as other songs.

Given up hope on that tbh :(

But it's IDENTICAL to Billionaire.

By the way I agree with the general feeling that Guetta is selling on name only, it's really not great :(

Gaga's Judas video needs to hurry up - want to see Judas climbing! :P

 I think its too late for her to recover. This will be GaGa's 2nd flop (after Lovegame) unfortunately. She needs to stop being lazy and go back to making great original songs like she used to do! I miss the days when BEPs, Guetta and GaGa ruled the charts with songs that haven't been done before. Now it's 2011 and they haven't really changed. This is why Rihanna is still relevant as she gets different with every album.

I remember hearing Boom Boom Pow for the first time and thinking 'WTF are they doing?' and then loved the song

^ Even the Lady Gaga's first two singles sounded exactly the same to me (genuinely, I couldn't tell them apart for months), so this situation with Judas is quite standard for me with regards to Lady Gaga.

In terms of David Guetta, his songs that sound similar post-When Love Takes Over are:

I Gotta Feeling, Club Can't Handle Me and Gettin Over You - These three sound quite similar.

Sexy Chick and Where Them Girls At

The rest all sound different to each other.

The sample in Sweat isn't a big deal really, and it's really well-known anyway. Not to mention, When Love Takes Over samples Coldplay, Commander and Gettin' Over You sample Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Feeling and Gettin' Over You sample Love is Gone. Memories probably samples something too (it sounds like Right Here, Right Now by Fatboy Slim to me).

Blue about to perform on Daybreak, hopefully that will stop them from falling anymore..
I'm kind of annoyed too. It's sounds waaaaaay too similar to Sexy Chick. And the version I was listening to before sounded quite different to Sexy Chick (apart from a short section that appeared twice in the song), so it seems even more of a let down.

I wouldn't say he's getting worse and worse though. In his post-When Love Takes Over work, I'd say his best songs are Memories, Commander, Gettin' Over You and Who's That Chick?, so he's stayed quite consistent for me at least.

Great to see Britters climbing again! :cheer:

Yeah it's totally rip off of Sexy Bitch (which is one of my fave of him)

When Love Takes Over and Who's That Chick are just ok, one of the least fave for me.

One Love, Gettin' Over You & Sexy Bitch are the best from this very commercial era.

All oldest stuff (Stay, Baby When The Lights, Everytime We Touch, Love Is Gone, The World Is Mine, Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away).. are the best stuff of him :D )

I cannot, and i'm sure a lot of others, take that comment seriously.

Turning Tables (Adele) #43

Turning Tables (Glee) #44

Gwyneth Paltrow's version was so bad  It was just terrible. Glad its given the incredible Turning Tables exposure though and Adele's original is ahead.

'Where Them Girls At?' is so much better in it's demo form. I can't believe they've made it sound so 'Sexy Bitch'-ified! I think I'll just keep my demo version as I love it too much at the moment.

No39- Wiz Khalifa/ Roll Up

No51- Nelly & Kelly Rowland/ Gone

No58- The Midnight Beast/ Dance Routine

No94- Noah & The Whale/ Tonight's The Kind Of Night

No96- Olly Murs/ Busy

Whilst I definitely believe that Adele's version is better, I don't think Gwyneth did a bad job at all. Her version was beautiful, just unsurprisingly not on the same level as Adele's.

It was always going to be a big task outsinging Adele - but I think Gwyneth did OK.

Definitely. I don't think you can ever truly outdo the original artist, especially if they personally wrote it. Adele's version naturally has more emotion in it, as she wrote it about a personal experience, but I think Gwyneth did a very good job of covering it.
