May 12, 201114 yr Agree with most others - both apps were very awful, but I do understand how the girls won. Edna's pitch to the "young" audience was awful/hilarious viewing, as was Susan trying to tell the others her idea. Melody is my current favourite (if only for how she said "popular" on Tuesday's ep), but I can see her going far - she reminds me of BIG EYES from last series, who as you can tell, I can't remember the name of.
May 14, 201114 yr Neither can I come to think of it..... Sandeesh, although I forgot too and had to google 'big eyes the apprentice'
May 15, 201114 yr I've only caught up with the episodes this morning (bad Shoat). And this series is I think already better than the last. Back to form. HURRAH And for the first time in a long while, my favourite contestant is actually one of the males. Irish Jim was AMAZING - has anybody else so calmly and openly ordered his team leader to change the decision to take him into the boardroom and actually got away with it? He was also quite right; clearly he was far from the worst team member during that task, and Leon had simply opted for him initially because he'd spotted a possible opportunity for a Jim/Alex row to take the light off from himself. Edward was an utter car-crash, and as such was brilliant TV. I can't remember who it was, but one of the other contestants summed it perfectly when he said that Edward was so determined to not be "just an accountant", that he actually went out of his way NOT to exercise ANY control over the finances. Which is utterly bizarre logic; if there's one thing worse than being "just an accountant", it is surely being "just an accountant who can't actually do accounting". A complete buffoon. On the females; Melody is clearly the one to watch so far. Edna made for WONDERFUL viewing, but clearly she was a dreadful leader and only avoided the chop by utter fluke. Her presentation to the geek conference was hilarious - her business psychology skills coming in handy there, as she decides the best way to win over the geeks is to sex them to death. She was one step away from donning the leather and bringing out her whip and fluffer. I can't see her lasting long regardless; can anybody really seeing Sirallun having any time for a "business psychologist"? Despite the change in prize, I suspect it won't change things that much, and they'll still focus on the salespeople ahead of everyone else. *Watch now as Jim and Melody go out in weeks 3 and 4, and Edna wins the whole thing*
May 18, 201114 yr I would've rather Zoe went if I'm being honest, she's done f*** all so far! I can't really remember her doing anything in the last few weeks, but Gavin pretty much conducted that disaster, what a shame, he seemed very good in the first few weeks :(
May 18, 201114 yr Aw, I liked Gavin. He really did crash and burn on the task though, so I can see why he went. Strange, though, as he's looked very strong up to now. £8 difference, how gutting. Not sure how the guys are going to do now. It's got to be a girl fired next week, to even up the numbers if anything. But then I was saying the same this week. Who's strong from the guys anyway? Leon and Vincent are disasters waiting to happen, Tom is a nice guy, but I can see him getting ripped apart at some point, and that just leaves Jim and Glenn. On the other side, we have about half the girls still doing $hit all. One of them has got to go next week.
May 18, 201114 yr I would've rather Zoe went if I'm being honest, she's done f*** all so far! I can't really remember her doing anything in the last few weeks, but Gavin pretty much conducted that disaster, what a shame, he seemed very good in the first few weeks :( TBH he did have a point in that he thought or was led to believe, that one of his 'sub-teams' had certain items in hand - so didn't bother going for them. But come on ... Ice? Judas Priest - he could have gone to any Spar/Co-Op/Tesco/etc and got ice! And a cloche? Bloody hell - any High Street Store would have one of those - didn't they think to look on internet - or even consult a bloody dictionary? Gavin HAD to take the blame for this as it WAS his fault. Kath
May 19, 201114 yr I agree with you guys above. Really hated to say that Gavin really deserved to go at the end of the day (as much as I would have liked it to have been Vincent <_<.) he did the mess up and there was no other way Lord Sugar could have gone. Zoe, yes she's done bob all to date, but as from past series' starting from this week, she'll be noticed quite a bit more and it wouldn't surprise me if she was the project manager for her team in the next task just to "prove" she has what it takes or whatever. I wish Leon would p*** off though. Seriously. He doesn't know how to SPEAK UP. He didn't even help the girls out in the deals and negotiations etc.. and didn't even speak up in the main room. Ugh. Sitting on the back bench. He reminds me of the guy from Junior Apprentice who did the same (and he came SECOND! :() Hopefully him and Vincent (arrogant and evil) are gone sooner rather than later.
May 19, 201114 yr didn't they think to look on internet - or even consult a bloody dictionary? Gavin HAD to take the blame for this as it WAS his fault. I think it's the rules of the task that they can't look on the internet.. otherwise it would be too easy. I quite liked Gavin but he really messed up this task. Vincent is so annoying - I hate the way he talks, he's full of s***!
May 24, 201114 yr Finally just caught up with the 3 new episodes and I'm addicted again, can't wait for wednesday! Karen's look to the guy in the landrette was AMAZING! and I dunno if this is been mentioned before but how much does vincent look like britney spears' boyfriend?! http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ll1yp5lmjY1qdjeu8.gif
May 24, 201114 yr I think Edna might actually be Satan. Shame to see Gavin go last week, he was a bit limp and crap as PM but he was suprisingly witty on You're Fired. It made sense I suppose though. I'm dissapointed with some of the girls who spent the past 2 ep's in the background havent turned out to be any good. Natasha appears to be an ACTUAL idiot whilst Zoe is basically a less likeable but equally useless version of Sandeesh. Northern Ellie is all sorts of amazing though. As is Susan, and lovely Tom who I never want to see fired, he's too lovely for it.
May 25, 201114 yr Tom is a loser, when he said sorry for losing the first task it made me think pathetic arse licker
May 25, 201114 yr I was surprised that Susie is one of the favourites to win actually! Although if her team lose today, she is SURE to get fired.
May 25, 201114 yr of all the girls who I thought would go first, I never thought it would be Felicity :o seriously, Logic is a terrible team- four weeks, four losses!
May 25, 201114 yr Brilliant episode tonight I thought. Still deciding on whether firing Felicity was the right one or not. Really pleased Ellie stayed though! Didn't even realise that Natasha existed until the boardroom tonight. She should have gone. She doesn't involve herself enough and it looks to be the same way next week too. Leon surprised me this week. He was really good at selling the products and things. I liked the little finger strategy too. Haha. But the person who shone tonight was Helen. She was brilliant tonight I thought. Susan and Melody were as good as ever though! Melody is without doubt one of my favourites this year!
May 25, 201114 yr This Felicity seems like a really nice/funny girl on You're Fired! Shame she left and Natasha, Ellie and Vincent are still in =\. Quite like this year's bunch as a whole - which is unusual :o.
