Ellie might have been a bizarre error last week or something?

Anyway, very uninteresting additions. I really must hear the SHM song though. Their previous 2 singles were my 2 favourite songs of 2010 so if they've even come close to those two STW could potentially be one of the best songs of 2011.

They got to #7 then #4, STW should be on course for #1 :kink:

Surprised to see Daflonickettidaj not on there yet.

I didn't even know "Walk" was the next single for FF, stupid choice when you've got "Dear Rosemary" and "Arlandria" just sat there but it's better than "These Days" I guess.

No Blue, No Wynter Gordon, no David Guetta, Nicki, Flo Rida (BIZARRE!) but not to worry because a clutch of uninteresting nothings of songs have been added instead :cheer:

Very odd this week, I wanted and expected Alexandra Stan and Toddla T to both move up and I'm quite shocked that Beyonce has remained on C-list  Nice for Ed Sheeran to finally get onto the main playlist but I'm not raving over any of the new additions.

Radio 2's new additions include Blue and Andrea Corr, I think I'll stick with them :P

Meh, expected and minimal changes. Good to see Techno Fan on there, but since Anti-D failed to reach the top 40 I doubt it'll do anything.

Also good to see Nicole arrive, otherwise, very boring this week.

great for Example, hopefully A-list before his release :D nothing much of note apart from that, Ellie must've been a mistake, I don't think another single is planned- there's been nothing confirmed or anything, the Swedish House Mafia should be interesting though, I've loved both their songs so far

looks like Radio 1 are ignoring Blue, but no David Guetta?! :o surely next week at least

Wow. 'Right There' is getting support :o It's growing on me quite a bit now though, so I don't mind as much as I did when it was first announced to be a single. Very pleased for Olly Murs and he Script both moving up to the B-List :D

Also; excellent for Jessie moving up to A-List! :D

Radio 1 is seriously getting worse and worse with it's new additions. Really, which of those added is going to be a hit?!

I think Nicole might do ok, but it's such a terrible choice of a single. I think only SHM stand a chance to go top10 from those added. Vaccines, Wombats and PATD will bomb obviously.

I'm unsure of Nicole ... it really could go either way, although she continues to surpass expections as to how she does with me personally so we'll see.

I just don't understand why they're not adding stuff like Wynter Gordon, David Guetta, Pitbull, Blue & New Boyz in order to fit some indie-rock stuff that will obviously bomb. It just makes them seem snobby.

The Coral - In The Morning

Gadjo Featuring Alexandra Prince - So Many Times

Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl

B-List

Jem - Just A Ride

Lil' Jon featuring Usher & Ludacris - Lovers And Friends/Get Low UGH, this is still played in every club I go to, every week. I think it's diabolical :puke:

KT Tunstall - Other Side Of The World

Charlotte Church - Crazy Chick

Röyksopp - Only This Moment This was actually glorious  As was What Else Is There, the follow up!

Well all is forgiven for this week, that is a truly diabolical playlist, reflecting what was the worst few months for music I can probably ever recall. Even the songs from genres I usually like I think are awful. A couple of decent-ish indie songs on there but most of it was the landfill crap that clogged up the playlist in 2005.

I think it's got to do with the daytime dj's personal tastes (and ages tbh).

I think Radio 1 had an eye for a hit then- most if not all of that A-list turned out to be big hits :o and all very varied as well

I thought 2005 got a lot better, once the first few months were over...in fact, I really liked it after that

I'm glad you agree with me, I think 2005 was a blackhole for chart music in the 00s. Dance music was in the gutter, and I dont like a single one of them on this playlist. Except Royksopp, but that's more chillout. Indie stuff I generally hate with Lyla being a perfect example, the R&B stuff was just spewing utter rubbish back then, with the odd gem surfacing (ala 1 Thing), and pop music seemed to be going into the MOR territory...
