Posted May 17, 201114 yr Yes, that's right. From Season 3, Glee will be airing on Sky rather than E4 in the UK. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s57/glee/...air-on-sky.html Personally I think it's very bad news. I, and I guess many others, do not have Sky so it may not get as many viewers (though I watch online so am not affected). Plus it currently seems to be E4's biggest hit.
May 17, 201114 yr Oh dear. I luckily have Sky, but like Jack said, it will more than likely get less viewers as quite a lot of people will probably not have Sky.
May 17, 201114 yr WHAT!? Don't have Sky, and I doubt my parents will pay for it for the one programme... E4's biggest mistake ever. :manson:
May 17, 201114 yr Doesn't affect me as i watch it ahead on US pace But a few friends are not happy people at the moment. E4 have made a huge loss. As well as the huge succcess of their own shows like Misfits and Inbetweeners, Glee brought in good ratings for an american show.
May 17, 201114 yr Oh f*** THIS :manson: I don't have Sky :( Glee is the only programme I CANNOT miss - I'll just have to keep up online unless I can persuade my mum to go Sky, but I doubt it just for one show.
May 17, 201114 yr Liam, Sky has quite a mix of good shows. The Simpsons, Futurama, reruns of Malcolm In The Middle, Modern Family, The Middle, House. You could take full of advantage of the channel. :)
May 17, 201114 yr I've only got Freeview too :( Where can I watch it online and when? I was going to say it goes on 4OD but oh yeah f***ING SKY POACHED IT <_< There's a link to watch online on the pinned section of the forum :)
May 17, 201114 yr I was going to say it goes on 4OD but oh yeah f***ING SKY POACHED IT <_< There's a link to watch online on the pinned section of the forum :) Is there like a SkyOD or Sky iPlayer or whatever?
May 17, 201114 yr Author They wouldn't put it on a Sky iPlayer for free when they charge extra for the channel on TV. But I can PM you a link as to where you can watch at other times.
May 17, 201114 yr But evidently E4 didn't believe they could warrant the cost Fox wanted for it. It'll leave money to be distributed to other fresh and new (and hopefully Biritish) programming. Sky are paying in excess of £10 million for the rights to this I believe...
May 17, 201114 yr Is there like a SkyOD or Sky iPlayer or whatever? SkyPlayer and CatchUp is available to Sky customers...
May 17, 201114 yr Yet another show Sky jumps on the bandwagon with, and poaches for extortionate money :( like 24, Lost, and many others! <_<
May 17, 201114 yr Does this mean there's a slight chance we could be getting that series of Glee, when it airs in the US? Or are Sky just the same as E4 and get them later? I don't know how I feel about the move, tbh. But it shouldn't really affect it that much, considering most people now have digital...
May 17, 201114 yr Urgh, I hate Sky. Gonna see a bit of a big decline in popularity in the UK I reckon, same happened with Lost :(. And I used to love watching Glee in the mornings on T4, it made for perfect hangover viewing! Edited May 17, 201114 yr by Jack
