At least we now know how The Sats should release now.

Releasing early seems to be doing them the world of good!

I think sometimes The Saturdays go into overkill and perform everywhere, so in essence people get tired of the track much quicker.

Fingers crossed they can secure a top 5 placing for Sunday

Don't think we can judge that yet. Its only Tuesday morning, and they normally start to fall around Wednesday evening, so I am not overally impressed that they are still climbing, I would expect them to be still climbing.

Missing You started falling tuesday..Maybe not in position but it's popularity bar dramatically decreased.

Please dont remind me of this... It was like 1popbar behind Flo Rida. Tuesday at 6pm it was like 14behind :( and Eminem Was majorly closing in on Saturdays.

I think that Notorious will not plummet, it is moving along nicely, and potentially I think this song will follow a chart run similar to 'Ego' and 'Higher' and go against the usual chart runs of their album openers

What's Templecloud - One Big Family  its at #41

edit... KFC advert

Notorious is just growing in airplay and video play as we talk - so, I don't see why it would fall dramatically. The likes of Gaga/Beyonce and that fell, because of a lack of video - The Saturdays have a video, which is starting to get played more.

I could be wrong though - if they are to fall soon, which I hope they won't :(

BEPs new track will probably climb a bit at the weekend, they are performing on SYTYCD BBC1 on Saturday

The Saturdays Update (according to livepopbars.com) (Last update: 3 hours ago)

38.2% (Gained 0.3% on Pitbull) 05) The Saturdays - Notorious

1.0% behind (Gained 0.9%) 04) Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar

5.7% behind (Gained 1.0%) 03) LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem

10.7% behind (Gained 1.3%) 02) Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song

--

2.3% ahead of (Gained 0.3%) 06) Chris Brown / Benny Benassi - Beautiful People

2.5% ahead of (Gained 0.3%) 07) Snoop Dogg / David Guetta - Sweat

5.7% ahead of (Gained 0.3%) 08) Swedish House Mafia - Save The World

9.5% ahead of (Gained 0.5%) 09) David Guetta / Nicki Minaj / Flo Rida - Where Them Girls At

Gained means that The Saturdays are pulling away from the song behind, or catching the song in front ;)

The Sats are still gaining on everyone, and it looks at though they have a chance at #2, but only if they can keep gaining at the rate they are. :)

Apparantly the reason why Templecloud's cover of Embrace's 'One Big Family' is in the top 40 is because it is being featured in a KFC advert.

NOTE TO THE STRUGGLING MUSICIANS - If you want an easy top 40 hit, just do a piano/voice cover of a well known song, and watch the moolah come in. If you are a woman, and the song is featured in an advert, then all the better.

c.f. Birdy, Fyfe Dangerfield, Taken By Trees, Ellie Goulding.

Are you insinuating Fyfe Dangerfield is a woman? :kink:

Didn't actually see Templecloud in the feed until I read this post. Odd when these piano covers blast out of nowhere to the top 40 after being used in an ad.

Anyway, all GaGa album tracks are now falling it seems. 6 of them are top 100 in the first mids (the 6 that are currently top 100 - Government Hooker has dropped out). All except Heavy Metal Lover and Highway Unicorn (Road To Love) are top 200. I wonder what it'll be like on Sunday... I can definitely see at least the 4 highest album tracks (YAI, FOHL, MTN and TQ) holding a top 100 position but not so sure about Scheisse and BJ+AF. And I think HML and HU(RTL) might climb into the top 200 over the week...

I can see Notorious being #4 by the end of tonight and #2 by the end of the weekend. Hoping for a #1 next week, too.

It *would* be nice if a Saturdays single actually rose week-on-week rather than decline. Saying that, I think 'Notorious' is a load of pretentious $h!te. Controversial opinion on BJ, but true.

If I could swap around songs within the top 10, I would make it look like this:

1: Aloe Blacc - INAD

2: Chris Brown - BP

3: Pitbull/Ne-Yo/Afrojack - GME

4: Bruno Mars - TLS

5: Alexandra Stan - Mr Saxobeat

6: Swedish House Mafia - STW

7: Saturdays - Notorious

8: Snoop Dogg - Sweat

9: Flominatta - WTGA

10: LMFAO - PRA

Shame it'll never look like that. :(

No, but I said that it helps. Obviously you'd have to very desperate

to even consider chopping your balls off for the sole purpose of getting a top 40 hit.

Mr Saxobeat top 10 :w00t: great to see a European hit doing well, for once I'm glad Glee won't get in the top 20, not with two songs I detest

so could this Templecloud thing be nu-She's Always A Woman/Taken By Trees? I wouldn't be surprised if it hung around a while

Bruno Mars surely has to be at the bottom..The lazy song is the biggest load of $h!tee going! ;)

Just realised that every year there's at least a European hit going top 10 :P

That should be every week though :( We are in Europe after all.

The Saturdays are the only British Act in top 13! 6/40 of The Top 40 on iTunes are British.

Ahh but the great thing about TLS is that it doesn't shamelessly follow trends - shame I can't say that about other recent songs. ^_^

That's no issue for Justin Bieber as he doesn't have any in the first place

:D

so could this Templecloud thing be nu-She's Always A Woman/Taken By Trees? I wouldn't be surprised if it hung around a while

Probably more nu-Taken By Trees as it's popped out of seemingly nowhere (although obviously we know why it's there now :P)

Just realised that every year there's at least a European hit going top 10 :P

It's be slightly worrying if there wasn't at least one mainland European going top 10 in a year...

Great to see Mr Saxobeat top 10 though :w00t: Was worried it'd stall outside.

It sounds the exact same as Busy by Olly Murs :P

and LOL at Bray, funniest comment ever (the one in spoiler tags)
