Santa Baby has, again, entered her top 10 most played songs on Spotify, with still almost 2 months to go before Christmas! It's on 94 million streams so will definitely get to 100 million streams this year, her second song to get that result.

Good to see! I noticed Santa Baby is 21st on the biggest Christmas playlist; not sure how that compares to previous years but hopefully it can perform better than it did last year. It felt the Eartha Kitt version was close to being the most popular last year.

 

Edit: Actually, I’ve just Ed checked and Eartha’s version was indeed more popular last year.

Yes it entered her top ten earlier this week, already achieving 50k a day.

 

It’ll be interesting to see how long the bigger Disco tracks keep it at bay.

 

It should go through 100 million by early December, hopefully 120 million by Christmas.

 

 

Fantastic to see all the iTunes number ones for Disco after yesterday’s iTunes freeze.....plus all those Apple Music top tens. Not sure how Golden fared on Apple Music but fingers crossed this means her streaming is improved.

Would have liked it to have moved up a few more spots.

Will be interesting to see how many streams it got.

 

Think I am going to reduce my expectations for Magic and Say Something singles this week to just inside top 75 and top 100 , unless they have something spectacular planned for next few days. It seems all about Disco and that's the main thing.

 

Also not sure how Apple Music streaming album chart works. None of her songs in UK are top 140 individually on Apple but album is very high. Not sure Apple Musics market share and wouldnt be surprised if those streaming sales are low. Let's hope she has got some decent Spotify streams today

 

The performance not affect Magic on streaming platforms. I’m really surprised they didn’t drop Magic and Say Something to 59p this week. Would have given them both a bit more exposure on the iTunes chart.

Yep. I am still hopeful they are concentrating on album all weekend then drop those 99p Digi Bundles or new remixes of Magic and Say Something on Monday when they realise they are high in midweeks lol.

 

The only thing we have uncertainty of is the vinyl sales. We may find out in todays midweek Saturday chart which someone is going to unusually find out about etc. If it's 500 copies each then they will struggle to do anything. If it's more like 2000 each then a fighting chance of a week in top 100. But you do feel a few days of quietness on singles chart etc can't happen

 

On a different note Magic being number 1 on Disco album must have picked up collectively over streaming platforms quite a few more streaming without us knowingly see any dramatic rise

A shame but at the same time, I assume Graham's audience is maybe not the biggest stream force. I'd rather see people picking up the album now instead of streaming or downloading the single.

Oh yes I never thought the performance would increase streaming but would have liked it a big higher on iTunes but I guess people buying the album on iTunes instead is a winner instead 😍
