To be fair, I guess is must be really annoying when an artist you don't like, that you think has finally flopped and lost all relevance and all his fanbase, comes back with a hit bigger than ever. Chipmunk did the same with Champion.

 

However, it is a bit hypocritical, since Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna have had equally, if not more, generic songs in the past, like Disturbia for example, which are loved on here.

Just because he is a black british artist that is producing R&B music, does not mean he is a rapper. You say you have listened to his song? You can hear that he is SINGING not rapping.

He's made a few songs with Chipmunk IIRC. Also, I remember hearing a song he made with Bashy, which if done with a high profile UK based rapper like Chipmunk or Tinie Tempah, it would've done amazing imo.

tut tut vidcapper I think you should check yourself in for treatment, this hatred of rappers has gone too far.Loick Essien is as much of a rapper as Kesha is.Not a fan of LE but pleased he is doing well.

Bashy is the best UK rapper, he is head and shoulders above the rest not sure why he is not huge.

'When The Sky Falls' is great :wub: IIRC it went top 200 on iTunes which is pretty good considering neither Bashy nor Loick Essien were names at the time (and the former still isn't) and it received no airplay.

Oh, The Wanted are released *next* week? I thought it was the week after for some reason. I'm not sure they actually will get #1 if they release next week to be honest. DJ Fresh could well still have sales around 100k and I'm not sure they'd be able to sell that much.

If TW release next week - same old story; they'll peak around Tuesday and dive come the end of the week.

I really dislike The Wanted, But Glad You Came is brilliant despite the lyrics being repetitive.

I think Glad You Came should shift around 90,000 their airplay has been the best it's been for this single.
