It's just so boring now. I think it's better now than how it was in February and March though. :puke:

In terms of the #1s, there was more variety earlier in the year, but the chart in general was dreadful. The worst I've ever seen. I thought it was bad in 2009 and early 2010, but this is much, much worse. :( Too much pop music.

I can probably think of only between 20 and 30 chart hits this year that'll I'll listen to in the future, which really isn't a lot. Of course, it doesn't really help that there's only been 50 songs in the chart this year anyway. I can't understand how the general public can get fixated with a song for so long. It's ridiculous.

Maybe that's why they're called the 'pop' charts... :P

As for the type of music there's been too much of, you just got the first 2 letters wrong. ;)

 You've still found 10 times as may songs as I'll want to hear in the future, from 2011. :(

I meant "pop" as in the genre, not meaning popular. Obviously all songs in the chart are popular, by definition, but there's too much pop music, and many of my favourite artists are releasing pop songs at the moment, and I hate it. Only people like Beyonce are still making music that isn't for clubs. It seemed from probably about 2007 it started getting more popular, and I thought songs like With Every Heartbeat and Don't Stop the Music were amazing at the time, but now it's just gone way to far and it's horrible.

I preferred it a few years back, when it was just R&B/Dance, and Trance.

With Every Heartbeat was hardly a club song. Most pop these days would be brilliant if it was along the lines of With Every Heartbeat!

Jason has re-overtaken Example :( Ah well, hopefully Example can still be #2 officially this week since it still has a second version top 100. The EP has also reclimbed to #26 (was top 20 earlier).
