Ooh also Olly Murs new single 'Heart Skips a Beat' featuring Rizzle Kicks is out in August and it's getting it's first play on Thursday, would love to know how this does after busy flopped :(

Rizzle Kicks? Surely Olly can net a slightly bigger name if he wanted to do a rap collaboration  I'm still disappointed the Olly & Professor Green collaboration never materialised.

Eeeeek coldplay - fix you at #47!!!

:o Why is it climbing again? Not complaining ofc    Up to #46 now!

 13. Set Fire to the Rain - ADELE

 71. Set Fire to the Rain (Moto Blanco Edit) - ADELE

Hope this can somehow get in the official top 10 this week :D The top version going top 10 on iTunes would be nice because then it could start climbing a bit faster. I doubt it'll peak this week regardless (or at least I hope it doesn't anyway)

Oh, that'd be why Fix You is reclimbing - it's down to 59p. Should have guessed that straight away. Nonetheless, hopefully it can go top 40 again this week :cheer:

wow, price lowered to 59p again, maybe there's a lot of demand for it? :kink: nonetheless, fantastic news, I hope it can re-enter the top 40 a'la Wheatus

Agreed, would totally love it if Fix You was in top 40 this week, stunning song

And maybe Olly song could be number 1? Really hope so, especially as his songs are always summery and heart skips a beat will be released in summer :)

59p songs in the top 200 (from actual iTunes, not the feed, so slightly behind - but it's easier to find them on actual iTunes ):

23. Notorious - The Saturdays

47. Fix You - Coldplay

57. Easy Please Me - Katy B

65. Bring Me to Life - Evanescence

75. The Scientist - Coldplay

78. If I Were a Boy - Beyoncé

86. Many of Horror - Biffy Clyro

91. Beat of My Drum - Nicola Roberts

92. Busy - Olly Murs

123. Naive - The Kooks

127. Jungle (feat. Maverick Sabre) - Professor Green

133. Common People - Pulp

140. Hush Hush - Alexis Jordan

144. Dog Days Are Over - Florence + The Machine

147. The Middle - Jimmy Eat World

156. Drop It Like It's Hot - Snoop Dogg & Pharrell Williams

158. Town Called Malice - The Jam

169. She Moves In Her Own Way - The Kooks

171. Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield

183. Mountains - Biffy Clyro

185. Zombie - The Cranberries

I suppose the new promotion of 59p songs has brought attention back to 'Notorious', which explains why it's climbing so much again even though it's been 59p for a while.

LOL @ Beat Of My Drum

Fix You, The Scientist, Many Of Horror, Jungle, Common People, Drop It Like It's Hot, Town Called Malice

Bring Me To Life, If I Were A Boy, Mountains :puke:

Those two songs by The Kooks are either permanently 59p or they've been reduced to 59p before - surely you can pick different songs iTunes! In fact, I'm pretty sure Fix You was 59p before as well.

I was thinking that as they were #28 yesterday!

The only songs I like that are 59p are Notorious, Hush Hush, Easy Please Me, Beat of My Drum, Jungle and Drop It Like It's Hot. It's quite a boring set of songs this time around.

'Busy' flopped because it was the 4th single from a very decent selling album (600k+ maybe 700k can't remember what it was on last time I checked...) it helped the album remain stable for a couple of weeks though, iirc. It should have been the second single after 'Thinking of Me'. I'd have made 'Please Don't Let Me Go' 4th (with 'Don't Say goodbye' as 3rd personally but whatever )

Hopefully those two Kooks songs can get quite high!

Olly will probably get a top 5 with his new one I think. Should be good, he hasn't disappointed me so far! :D

If only 'Mr Brightside' was dropped to 59p and promoted on the front of the iTunes page! :( I have a feeling that could be back for another Top 40 spell soon...
Hopefully those two Kooks songs can get quite high!

I think they've been 59p before, and didn't do amazingly. I really liked She Moves in he Own Way when it was popular.

59p Effect !
