Not really a surprise - his last album went in at No 47 on the Billboard charts during its first week.

 

I'd say going top 200 with song is more impressive than going top 50 with an album, the later only requires a dedicated fanbase of a few thousand.

Also, the new Drake song is being released tommorrow apparently! :o It would be amazing if it went to #1. It's had a lot of hype, and lots of people seem to love it.

 

It'll only be at #1 for about 2 days - the Bieber juggernaut has returned to spite us all and I assume he's still fairly popular and 'Mistletoe' will go straight to #1 on Monday :(

Did 'Baby' get to #1 on US iTunes? Even if it didn't I think Bieber is an established enough name now for a new single by him to go straight to the top. :(

As it's an Xmas song, I'll be optimistic and say it won't get number 1. It might do though, with all the crazy teens buying it :(

Snizno down to #3. Top 3 are incredibly tight (Snizno still at 96.5%, Adele on 97.1%) but LMFAO will probably pull ahead a bit now.

 

Rolling In The Deep back in the top 20 yet again. Does anyone have an estimate of roughly how much it's selling per week now? Since the barrier for the top 10 isn't even 100k I can't imagine it'd be much more than, say, 60k or so per week. But that's still a lot considering how much it's sold already.

On another note, LMFAO have barely pulled ahead of Adele at all yet, she's still at 96.2% as of the last LPB update. They certainyl won't be challenging her for #1 this week and most likely not next week either so it should at least match the 5 weeks it got in the UK (unless Dricki/Bieber (:puke: doesn't cover it) sell enough to go to #1 ofc)

Why on Earth did they release the same day as Justin Bieber? :lol: I was hoping they'd release it in the weekend. I guess, since Justin Bieber is such a controversial character, hopefully it'll mean people are more motivated to buy Drake's song. :lol:
