Posted July 22, 201113 yr Mine is not charting Rolling In The Deep any higher than 3 - it's my fave song of the year so far but only spent 7 weeks top 20 (I know that sounds quite a lot but for my fave song this year it's not, when Born This Way was number 1 for 2 weeks and top 10 for 18, and Judas number 1 for 7 weeks!) Judas is 2nd, and BTW 3rd in my YTD.
July 22, 201113 yr I have so many regrets from last year (Willow vs. Rihanna :puke: :puke:) so I'll stick to this year only :) * Giving 'Born This Way' more longevity than 'Judas' - I much prefer Judas to BTW (it has 82 plays compared to BTW's 64) but in the year end charts BTW will outpeak Judas because it spent many weeks T10 and 'Judas' flew out fast (I did overplay it in the first week) * Not letting 'Mr Saxobeat', 'On The Floor', 'Bounce' and 'Black And Yellow' get at least a week at the top. These will be known as the 'number ones that never were' as I was loving another song more than it at the time. A number one would not look out of place in their chart runs, but they are still high in my YTD chart. (On The Floor is my 4th favourite song of the year so far, only beaten by Rihanna x2 and LMFAO) * Not charting the new BEPs song T20, 'Don't Stop The Party' peaked at 21 for me - they really deserved at least T20 with this * I also never charted "Sweat" top 3, it peaked at 4 for one week but it's had massive longevity and it's my 10th favourite song of the year so far
July 22, 201113 yr The biggest one for me is probably turning my chart into a playlist for 4 weeks. It's cut off the chart runs of so many songs and they look really bizzare now :( (Hold It Against Me's chart run is: (1-1-2-1-2-3-2-1-2-2-2-2-4pl) (16 wks)) And it's left a massive gap in my charts data around April time! It's also meant that alot of songs haven't managed to peak very well, due to liking them most during the playlist weeks (E.T. only peaked at #15). Another mistake was charting all the Glee songs, as they only get 1 week in my chart and cause some odd movements for the other songs too (Thriller/Heads Will Roll peaked at #3 then went out of my chart). Plus charting Birdy - Shelter at #4  And not charting any of the Eurovision songs (apart from Haba Haba and I Can).
July 24, 201113 yr I'm also starting to regret charting all the Glee songs... not only do they all have poor longevity with me, but entering between 6 to 9 Glee songs each week just cut the time 'normal' singles spent in my chart! I'm considering not entering Season 3 songs in my chart.
July 24, 201113 yr Cascada's "Evacuate The Dancefloor" beating "Man In The Mirror" to number one. SHAME ON YOU BRITAIN SHAME SHAME SHAME fucking Cascada. Seriously guys, Casacada? What were you thinking? Edited July 24, 201113 yr by Mr. Belding
August 14, 201113 yr charting what the hell at no.1 as i have only a top 15 its literally went from no1 to out the chart :P
August 14, 201113 yr Not getting All The Lovers to #1 :( It stalled at #3 but did manage 52 weeks :P I also wish Born This Way got top 3.
September 30, 201113 yr Lissie Missing number one with 'Cuckoo'. I know the song is old but only discovered it again recently and had 'What the Water Gave me', and my attention to one of Ellie Gouldings songs (I go through phases where I listen to the album every few days and obsess with one song, Few months ago it was Salt Skin, at the moment its this love), then it would have been a huge Number one, but as it went, Florence, Ellie, And Lissie were all above my record for most plays in a week. Looks like its going to drop to number 5 this week.
October 2, 201113 yr My biggest regret is charting Glee songs during its first season, I didn't bother with season 2 and now 3, they just clogged up my chart and affected the chart runs of some of my fave songs and my end of year chart for 2010 didn't really match up.
June 12, 201411 yr Making Christina Perri take 6 months to get to number 1 with jar of hearts 6 months :o Dark Horse on my chart took 6 months to reach its peak of #3 :o Edited June 12, 201411 yr by JSG
June 12, 201411 yr allowing Arty to be my last year's christmas number one instead of Avicii as Arty's 'Riot' didn't have much longevity whereas 'Hey Brother' spent 7 weeks at #1 (would've been 8)
June 14, 201411 yr A recent one I've thought about is Le Kid's Escape missing my top 20. I regard it as their second best song and it should have had a top five peak to match! They've had six top ten hits in my chart yet this one missed by a mile somehow!
June 15, 201411 yr Mine is certainly having Breach's Jack as my number one over Selena Gomez's Come And Get It. Breach only had 4 weeks in my chart where Selena Gomez had 17.
July 28, 201410 yr I wish I charted I Wanna Feel at #1 over Legendary Lovers so badly, just compare the chart runs.. I Wanna Feel / (17-16-9-14-17-18-9-6-2-6-14-30-39-45-48) 15 weeks Legendary Lovers / (1-18-23-41-45) 5 weeks
July 29, 201410 yr Tom Odell's Another Love not charting at #1 is a bit of a regret. Looking back, I get why two certain songs charted ahead, but Another Love did waaay better in the long run. 1. Delta Goodrem - Heart Hypnotic - (1-1) 2. Cody Simpson - Summertime of Our Lives - (2-2) 3. Tom Odell - Another Love - (7-3) Full chart runs: 01 Delta Goodrem - Heart Hypnotic - 1-1-2-3-7-10-16-20-25-26-29-33-X (12 weeks) 02 Cody Simpson - Summertime of Our Lives - 2-2-6-8-8-11-15-17-23-31-38-X (11 weeks) 03 Tom Odell - Another Love - 7-3-5-6-4-5-8-6-10-12-16-19-19-21-14-18-25-24-24-26-28-33-34-39-33-36-39-X-6-11-16-24-X (31 non-consecutive weeks) Quite the difference  I also wish I'd charted The Saturdays' What About Us at #1 - it got stuck at #2 for three weeks behind Girls Aloud's Something New. Not a case of the #2 having a better run than the #1 though: 01 Girls Aloud - Something New - 1-1-2-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-1-2-3-4-3-3-3-3-5-6-8-7-5-7-8-8-9-9-13-12-12-16-14-20-23-30-37-X (37 weeks) 02 The Saturdays - What About Us (feat. Sean Paul) - 6-3-2-2-2-4-6-9-10-16-17-19-8-8-10-12-12-20-15-10-4-3-6-11-14-21-23-30-31-34-36-X-34-37-X (33 non-consecutive weeks)
September 17, 201410 yr Iggy Azalea's Fancy having this chart run: (31-31-37-35-39-x) (5 weeks) should've peaked a lot higher but its almost sold 500k in Danaelanda (50 plays) so that kinda makes up for it. Letting Chris Malinchak's If U Got It go to #1 as it had a poor chart run: (21-1-2-5-13-27-45-41-x-46) (9 weeks) Shot Me Down was #2 that week and it spent 7 weeks top 10 opposed to 3. Either that or Rather Be (#3 that week) would've made for a better #1 (Rather Be did go to #1 though) Shot Me Down (20-3-2-3-2-4-6-4-12-13-28-28-29-41) (14 weeks)
September 17, 201410 yr Thinking about it. I kind of regret putting Am I Wrong at #1 for 6 weeks as I honestly didn't love it enough whilst it was there all those weeks so perhaps it should of got 4 weeks if anything. Same with Hideaway, 4 weeks I loved it and then rather quickly got tired of it on it's 5th week. Iggy's Fancy chart run (35-38-22-21) before coming back in a few weeks back. would've been another because I gave her a #21 peak originally but I've made that situation better since I'm really loving it now (possibly off the back of Black Widow doing so well). Also Demon's by Imagine Dragons got to #14 earlier in the year. I've really grown to love that song on a more personal level so I kinda feel bad now not putting it in the top 10 at least!
February 15, 201510 yr Random, but after hearing this on plug.dj and checking my chart history... 18/09/2005 Mylo vs Miami Sound Machine - Doctor Pressure - #23, 03 weeks [23-29-38-xx] Really underestimated this one :o
February 15, 201510 yr Allowing up to be my Christmas #1. I like it but it was such a non #1 and spent like 6 weeks top 40 Also way too low peaks for break free, I can fly and leave while I'm not looking (though the latter 2 re-peaked today and both could go higher)
